LMAO! good one, Chief.

Have fun, gojo! Hope you held onto the e-mail with phone numbers. And, for god's sake, keep it away from Buddha Bear and Nigal, if they're on your agenda. LOL!

If you're still reading... you might want to consider the Blue Water Bridge in Sarnia vs. Ambassasdor in Windsor. It's a quicker drive and is especially faster if you're coming through around rush hour. Detroit will be a mad house as will that bridge.

I spoke with a guy about that option. He said all trucks are required to cross there, but car lanes are available. I noticed you mentioned that particular crossing in your email. I'm gonna go for it. Now.

Y'all north of town?

We're north of Detroit, yes.
And, southwest of Port Huron (Sarnia).

Different directions than I gave you in email. You'll take 94 W to 696 W to 5 N. The rest is the same.

There's a slightly quicker way (a little more confusing) if you take 94 W to 59 W. Gimme a call if ya want those directions. They're more involved.

I'm sorry, smiley. Between Saturday night and the snow, you probably don't want to come and visit me again. I'll do better next time... If I'm still in the UP.

Sunshine, of course I want to visit you again. You don't think in the 4.5 years I was up there I'd been through all of that already? :)

It was such a treat to meet Gojo, Belle, and Gizmo last night. The aminals were crazy last night, and quite entertaining. As was Gojo, of course. :)

Hey did you get your cavities searched at the bridge?"
~Sassafras

Not at first, but I was persistent.

I spent most of Wednesday on the backroads of Quebec province. It was like France w/o all the French. Soooo, I didn't make it very far into Ontario by bedtime. I had to cover, like, 23,000 km yesterday. I'm sorry I mussed-up y'alls big plans.

Chief -
Yeah, I'm gonna make it to WY - eventually. I'm gonna try to do a Lizs visit in MN, then the Bighorns, then dude's stuff in Casper. (sorry Casper Dude, but your handle escapes me just now, and I'm waaay to lazy to search it up at the moment).

Another option under consideration is to enter Canada via BWCA (I still have $3.97 Canadian that's burning a hole in my pocket). I'd swing west and return via MT, ie, Billings. Then from Billings to Casper (via Cody?).

From Casper, I plan to buzz to Challis, ID.

PepperDog -
Yesh! I soooo want to come to CA. May I invite myself to your parts? Thanks.

Casper dude would be Garfum. I think you're thinking of garfums buddy, stratdewd.

Approximately when do you think you'll be in my neighborhood? I may have the camper set up for deer hunting mid-October, and elk hunting early November. Maybe you want to tag along on that. Some good dayhiking anyways. Oh, and maybe a little partying too!!!

Ya'll won't believe this... and I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it for myself... but SARABELLE REALLY TALKS. It's so amazing. I'll have to tell ya more about our conversations another time, tho.

Gojo has been a great guest, so far. Belle and Gizmeaux have been great, too. Lots of fun.

gojo - invite yourself "to my parts"???? that sounds like an interesting thought. There are lots of Californian TT'ers would be proud to add you to their life lists. I'm afraid that my dogs might not be as friendly and welcoming to other canines as some seem to be but I'm sure we could round up a bed and work for you if you got this far.

My framing hammer, right?
I discovered that earlier today. I had to make do with a 13 oz trim hammer...
I thought back and remembered taking the hammer out of the truck after I was packed - some nails to deal with. I reckon I left it lying summers.

What else? hmmmm... guess I'll check the mail.

Keep the hammer. Remember, tho - it's a left-handed model, so it may take some gettin' used to...
hehehee!

I got here to DHutch's place on Friday p.m. I'm closing-in a large window for her. I made a Depot run yesterday, and commenced working today. The job includes some drywall hangin' and finishin', which requires a couple three coats of mud and adequate drying time between. I'll be troubleshooting electrical problems during that time.

DHutch is cool. We've had a great weekend.

Gonna do a Yooper hike next weekend - Pictured Rocks. Dogs'll hafta be kenneled.

Hope to visit Sunny afterwards. Then Lizs.

Peppy -
I don't neccessarily (sp?) need the work, but I DO wanna see the local backcountry. I mentioned you because Om brought up your name when we were discussing her trip to Kings Canyon.

I figured the Nymphs would be busy boarding by then, and you're the only other Californian I know.

I will likely do WY, ID, and BC before CA, so it will be some weeks before I reach your area...

I'll be in touch.

Oh yeah - I was informed by Paper Hangers of America Local 1234 that removing yer wallpaper would be a hanious(sp?) violation of Michigan code 72-9-3b, and could result in a revocation of my license to skirt around unwanted chores.
hehehee!

Severiuosly, tho - I haint fergot about you. I'll be around all week. I'll be in touchy-feely.

Wow, Sunny -
How could I get oh so close and not darken your door? I'd love to visit and meet the yet to be met sunspots.
