NPT - Shattuck Clearing

“Wondering if there is anywhere near Shattucl Clearing on the Northville-Placid Trail where a car can be parked. I want to do the Lake Placid to Shattuck clearing with two overnights and would need to get out at Shattuck Clearing. Any feedback on that would be appreciated.

Your only options are to hike back to Duck Hole and out to Tahawus or to continue on to Route 28 out side of Long Lake Village. There is a private road that goes to Shattuck Clearing, but there are signs were it meets rt. 28 that it is not a trail access road (read don't even try it).”
