Hey lyra, did you see the big extravaganza last night for Bittany Spears and Aerosmith? What a 'pallooza! The crowd looked a little scripted, though.

Almost anybody in the crowd would have done anything to hoist Her Adorableness onto their shoulders.

I know, I know, don't say it. I should eat it!

we decided we needed to go somewhere with beer around the time they started giving out lights. but i don't think people waaaayyyy on the other end of the mall would have gotten them anyway...it would've taken like 5 hours to give them to everyone! they did pelt some cans of nasty Vanilla Pepsi at us when everyone started booooing at the commercials, though. some people threw them back, LOL! i'm just lucky i didn't get smacked in the head with one.

Aerosmith sucked just as they have for over thirty years.

I was hopin' Steve Tyler would choke himself on the mic.

Wow! Something we can agree on Tom. I hate that band with a passion. Nice to know I'm not the only one.

How can a dead guy suck?

Wait a minute..........I don't need to know :P

Tyler's daughter is a wonderful actor.
So we have something to thank him for.

Some of the band members look like comatose extras from one of those Lord Of The Rings movies.
Or maybe refugees from a Go-rilla Love-In.

HOW did an ugly ass circus freak like Steve Tyler have a daughter that looks like THAT??

(her mother must've been UNbelievable, LOL)

Things Go Better With Coke
They say that alcohol has been helping the human race reproduce for centuries.

Tyler and his merry band of munchkins were reknowned for their drug use.

Maybe he got Liv's momma wasted and the rest is history.

A table would also be good.

Its too easy to fall off a stool.

What will we call our party?

Dubliner
Tom Terrific and I will secure a Trail Talk table for 10 people at the Dubliner at 5PM on Friday September 26. They do not take reservations so we'll get there good and early.

The address is 520 North Capitol Street NW. (Don't worry about getting NW confused with NE; on North Capitol Street they're right across the street from each other.) The Dubliner is on the street level of The Phoenix Park Hotel, directly across the street from Union Station.

I have a rich but distant history with the Dubliner. It's 5 blocks from my highschool, it's where I took Guinness Appreciation before going to Ireland (as if I really needed it), and it's where my friends and I sang patriotic songs when Americans were taken hostage in Iran. Needless to say, I've knocked back a few pints there.

By the way, Tom Terrific is my husband and the 26th is his birthday.

We lost power about 18:00 ET on Thursday.

The last two nights were spent sippin' beers by candle light, laughin' with our neighbor.

Still no power and today several people were seen draggin' the contents of their refrigerators out to the can in sacks.

The rain was supprisingly light in Baltimore and the wind was wild.
The yards where littered with leaves and branches with a few broken trees.

There are still about 500,000 customers without power........in the vicinity of Baltimore.

D.C. got it from the rain.

I hear them chainsaws a-rippin'.
Mine is safe in the basement.

Good to hear the trees and the tsunamis missed you. The footage of Fell's Point looks like rereuns from the Mississippi a few years ago.

(that's the thing about Quality Beer -- it's still drinkable even when it's not 'ice cold')

The wind was definitely whipping up the Chesapeake. A friend of mine from Goddard emailed me a link to a webpage of realtime conditions at the Thomas Point Light before his power went out --- wow.

Yeah, they were buns-deep in Fells Point!

With no electricity I'll have to use the water method to wake up for work.
I drink a large glass of water before bed and a glass every time I wake up to whizz.

Two Words:

Travel alarm (or... you can get a ferret to chew on your toes at 5 am).

Okay -- back to the Guinness!

They serve a 16 oz pint at the Dubliner, not the 20 oz?

They are "slow pints" and other than that??????????
