Birch or Sass has REI poles and while I don't know if they are the same ones you have, they looked as good as anything out on the market. How much do they weigh? How much do they run? I slipped down a 20' hill and bent one of my poles so may get a new set this year.

I have been using those poles for about a year now. They are great poles. No problems. They are made by Komperdell. It is the same pole as the Komperdell Contour Foam Anti-shock.

i am too ADD for trekin poles.....i always just look for a good stick to use when i start hiking and ALWAYS end up forgetting it after a rest stop at some point in the hike....then i realize i forgot it after it's too far to go back for it and have to find a new one....i would loose my poles if i bought them so it's just a plain ole stick for me. on ym recent buffalo river hike there were tons of beaver sticks to choose from...the gnaw all the bark off for you and everything!
