Very Handy Butt Pad
This kneeling pad has proved very handy on trips. It works particularly well with the GVP G4 backpack - I put it where the z-rest is supposed to go so it serves as more support and cushioning. It's also right there to sit on wet or dirty ground when I stop for a break or lunch. It also works well as a pillow support in the Zoid 1. Over a longer trip it's helpful to keep clean and dry and this does the trick for my backside.

$3 and about 2 oz. for the green foam one.

Screw it - you know what they look like.

Type in "kneeling pad" in the search bar on the site if you want to see it.

Hey - and no "kneeling pad" jokes ok.

Just looked it up... It doesn't give any sizes and thicknesses... This might be better than the piece of Ridgerest that I carry...

It almost looks like a riot shield. However, anything with a higher caliber than a spitball would probably shred it.

"about 2 oz."

Us light weight types NEED an exact weight! ;)
To the 0.1 oz. at least! ;)
That thing is lighter than the sit pad (a piece of closed cell foam) I take now. Need real weight of it!

1.4 oz.
A photo of the pad for perspective...

and from the side...

My bad - ok ok I got the postal scale out and I have good news. The green foam one (pictured above) weighs in at 1.4oz. This is probably one of the best weight to usefulness ratios next to my lighter and the V8 StoveStomper stove.

The one I have is 16" x 7.5". Be careful when you're looking though. They have a couple of kneeling pads, some are more cushiony but they weigh a little more, take on water and don't hold up as well.
