And there is no room for error seeings how you just might be biased a bit and being a mere human you might be fallible? Or does opinion stand as fact as long as it agrees with your lines of thinking? Pessimism can be a powerful thing ya know.

Tisk, tisk.......

Biased?

I never trusted Bush or his old man.

The more I see the worse he looks.

The Bush regime is dragging the U.S. down the road to ruin.

So what is that, "hate speech"????

Look, Nigal. I want to put this into as simple terms as possible. I am only stating my opinion on what is happening in this country. I have paid attention to where he stands on all issues. I found that if I agree with this man 10% of the time, then I am giving him credit beyond what is true. I don't think things have improved under his watch. I fear that the repercussions have not set in yet from his actions. I believe the man is insincere and nothing more than an opportunist with a pre set agenda that was only bolstered (not set by) 9/11. I think he has handled the international community extremely poorly by alienating so many countries. I think he has recklessly run this economy into the ground. I don't share his conservative opinions on abortion. I think stem cell research is extremely important and he all but demolished that that whole scientific endeavor. I think his environmental policies are, once again, motivated by helping special interests in big business as opposed to being about the environment. Now, those are just a few issues off the top of my head and have nothing to do with bias.

Its my observation, you can call it biased if it makes you feel better.

Fact is that the U.S. is rackin' up huge deficit spending.

Unemployment has worsened.

We have been dragged into a war based on lies.

Treebeard you explain yourself very well as always. I see where you’re coming from but we can’t just explain away the factors that effect truth in our day and age. How can we say that what is shown to us is the truth? I personally don’t get too worked up about anything because I feel the truth is dead. There are things in your own post that explain exactly what I’m trying to say…and strangly enough we have to start at the end and then go back to the beginning…

“Now, those are just a few issues off the top of my head and have nothing to do with bias."

" I am only stating my opinion”

“I don't think “

“I fear”

“I believe”

“I think”

“I think”

“I think”

“I think”

Do you see my point now? And my posts are not to say agree with Bush 100% of the time and that my beliefs do not change concerning his performance.

I'm with you on that, Nig. And I deliberately used those words that way. Reason being is that I feel that is the way an American should use this wonderful right given to us called voting. Ideally, it is a great thing. I don't want to be a person who votes on the basis of charisma, looks, a nice ass, what have you... I use those words to show that I have looked at what's going on objectively and I feel I should vote according to how I feel about the issues. Some hit home more than others. For instance, until this Iraq thing became heavy news, nobody could give a rat's ass about the plight of the Iraqi people. Now, all of a sudden, we are these big humanitarians there and cold shouldered arrogance is the mainstay in other places equally oppressed? Sorry, but just one of the transparencies I see. Jobs, economy, medical benefits, family oriented issues and specially EDUCATION! are important to me. Not spending money we don't have over there.

Believe it or not my thoughts on the Iraq thing has been changing. I had been skeptical from early on when the reasons for invading kept changing in order to sell the damn thing. We should have stuck to the original reasons. They were good enough for Clinton in ‘98, they are good enough today. In hindsight I would have much preferred we used all that money we spent “saving” a nation that hates our guts and always will, and spend it on sealing our borders. Can you imagine how tight and secure we could be with that much money spent to properly secure ourselves? Good gawd! When they we close the door behind us we would have to burp the country like a tupperwear bowl!

While I have in the past thought as you that there are other places that need our help just as bad but now I feel some places are just not worth liberating. I would love to see us help the smaller countries who deserve to be free too and let the mideast simply implode upon itself and deal with the terrorists as they come. Oil or no oil, Iraq is a shlthole and they deserve it.

After a heavy poitical contribution from the chi-coms,
Clinton thought it would be nice if China had a commercial space
program. OUR aerospace companies
sent engineers over,who quickly
discovered only a few platforms for intermediate range missiles.
Clinton said help them get better.
The engineers complained that the chicoms were really after the advanced telemetry and platforms totarget and hit any spot in the U.S. Which they wouldn't turn over
due to security regulations.
After a working lunch with some chinese gunrunners in the White House,Clinton ordered the engineers to turn over any info
that they said they needed.
The current satellite launch was
to help locate targets for their
U.S. engineered missiles.

Now you are being realistic, Nig! We don't prioritize very well. Yes, the borders! A no brainer too, but few see the light! 25 or more years ago, El Al Airlines tried to help the U.S. in it's endeavors to battle the wave of skyjackers that terrorized the skies back then. Our airlines and government turned it's back on them. Israel lives with terrorism every day. Do any hijackers take El Al planes out. I don't ever hear of any. Maybe they are doing something right? If we had reinforced cockpit doors and sky marshals on all flights (something that would be way less expensive than fighting and rebuilding Iraq) then 9/11 may have had a less devastating outcome. Another no brainer to me...

If you really want to “seal the borders” just start arresting people who employ illegal aliens.

You know – those folks that are only too willing to hire undocumented gardeners, nannies and housekeepers.

Of course that will never happen but it sure is fun to scapegoat the powerless.

Economic immigration has nothing to do with terrorism and you know it.

I want every single illegal immigrant GONE GONE GONE! 8) I want every employer of illegal JAILED JAILED JAILED! 8)

Homeland first
I thought we should have closed our borders and cleaned out our country first which only makes sense. I may sound like I'm bashing Clinton, but I'm posting on what he has done cause and effect.
During his first term he made a deal with some one. He ordered the INS to stop background checks
on muslims and speed their citizenship. The number was around 4-6 million in the NY-NJ
area alone. In time for his re election.
