(LOL) but.....
they like me so much at work that even though the woman I've been covering for is coming back to work (and today was supposed to be my last day)....they are creating a new opening for me from now until at least November! Yippee!!!

Congrats Twinks. You are fortunate. I got laid off four months ago, and can't seem to find another job.

Oh man, and my boss just gave me a gift certificate to a great restaurant as a thank you (it's his assistant that's returning)! Oh, and earlier today one of the other people I support gave me some chocolates as a thank you!

side note - I support a group of about 30 people, that's why I have so many various bosses

I really love this gig and am so happy to be coming back on Monday - to new responsibilities!

PS - Creek Dancer - I am really sorry to hear about your situation - after 9/11 there was no work for several months and then I got this horrible gig right across the street from the site working for a bunch of a-holes. Needless to say, I sucked it up for about two months and then decided I'd rather be out of work than smelling the site and working for nasty people.

What kind of work are you looking for?

At this point, I would take just about anything. There is an opening at the local outfitter, but the pay sux and I would have to work weekends.

My most recent experience is in stock option administration. I liked the mechanics of the job, but I no longer have the stomach for executive compensation. I also have many years of experience as a paralegal.

Right now I am trying to network into a job at a local company that provides outdoor experiential learning and team building activities for companies.
