Hmm - Watch Out
This is what I got when I tried to buy a pair of NB 805's - still a good deal at $50.

"For those using key code TA….

The promotion associated with key code TA was for the first order from first time customers only in a specific geographic location (Tacoma, Washington). This promotion was not intended for widespread distribution. On August 27, 2003, this offer was posted on some of our affiliate websites and online forums without the consent or approval of Sierra Trading Post. On August 31 we asked several of our affiliates to remove this offer from their websites. However, since then a number of customers have misused this promotion by trying to get the offer to work on multiple orders. Our customer service department is currently working through hundreds of orders to clear up this confusion. Because of this, as of Sunday August 31, we are no longer able to honor this offer. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding in this matter."

Coop - I replaced my worn out NB804s with a pair of Montrail Leona Divide trail runners.
They are lighter than the NB805s and better built IMHO.
I wore these on my Rocky Mt. trip with great results! No slips and no blisters. No moleskin was used. I did replace the insoles with my Superfeet insoles.
STP has Montrails for great prices sometimes.

I picked up a Go-Lite Coal Parka w/hood for $70 last year from STP. Weight is right at 16 Oz.
Keeps me warn down to 32 degrees.
I'm pretty dang happy with it.

SS - thanks for the heads up I might convert to high top trail runners like the Montrail Exelerace or the Nike Tallac.

You know you have too much gear when......

Dang it! I've only found one $8 item I need. The dang shipping makes that kinda stupid to buy.
