“whisky and beer gets you thinkin sometimes. This week has been a whirlwind of decisions. Another chapter in the book of my life is coming to a close. One I havent expected, but then again, I have learned to never expect anything cause life is always gonna throw something at you and ive learned to jsut roll with it and find the good things. Heck, ive rolled with it a lot. the diffrent chapters of my life that is....mostly it brings hidden blessings, new faces, friends, new expirience. I hope to never stop expirienceing new things. but I swear some of these things are real kickers and surprises you. Heck I had no idea I would ever end up in Indiana, or working in a hospital...ive been a lot of places but had never even thought aboout the midwest. I dug myself in, expected to fight tooth and nail for a place here. And it has been a battle. Ive learned to appreciate this "cess-pool" city, ive learned to accept the diffrent points of veiws here, the diffrent culteral mind frame so alien to me at first (even if I dont agree with it) Ive even been greatly humbled a lot here and just when I thought I could not be humbled any further, this past couple of weeks have showed me how wrong I was. Again, all this week I have had to wrestle with preconcived notions of the world that were ingrained into me by my fairly upperclass childhood. It has almost taken on a spiritual aspect. Both mike and I made a difficult decision together and with lots of meditation I have come to the conclussion that this is indeed the best. We live beyond our means and our solution will free us of that, even though we will sacrifice something for this. But the trail is important. Happyness is important. Not material goods......But this, I never expected. It closes a few doors, and opens a few other possibilities. The next chapter... Maybe it will be a short chapter.
