time for all you closet fanboys and fangirls to fess up! im 33 years old, i read comic books, have done so for about 12 years now, and im not ashamed! i generally dont read heroes in spandex (jla is an exception), my tastes run towards the vertigo line and similar titles. my all-time favorite series was the sandman by neil gaiman, however, my favorite author is alan moore. hes to comics what stanley kubrick was to film: visionary, able to work in a wide variety of genres and styles, has a unique and clear voice, and chock full of meaning and detail.

Scoops, being older, I was of the 'old school' comics generation. I had DC comics and Action comics that had the prices of 10 and 12 cents on the cover. Just about 3 weeks ago, Maple and I took the kids into a comic store in Times Square. They had that old stuff, except the price tag for a 12 cent DC comic went up to 75 dollars and much more for some of the older ones...

I read my share of comics in the Army, they are easy to carry and can entertain for the "hurry up and wait" moments.

I was into Daredevil, Spiderman, X-Men

I used to read alot of different comics...somewhere in the 15 titles range. Whenever a new month rolls in, I'm spending over 15 to 20 bucks (probably more). It's been over 20 years since I bought a comic.

My favorites include; Iron Man, Batman, Superman, Teen Titans, X-Men, Iron Fist, Shang Chi Master of Kung Fu, Legion of Super Heros, Spiderman, Daredevil.....too many to list.

I have a bunch of old funny books from the very early 70s, SpiderMan, X-men, Silver Surfer, Fantastic Four, back when I was a kid.
A whole box of them about a foot high. I'm a packrat, need to clear them out.
Anybody want them?
