Come to think of it they might have been aluminum? Careful snappin' them poles together dude. That's a sure fire way to wear out the bungie cord inside. Been there, done that, broke them. LOL!

Ewker,

I have the gossabmer too. I think the sil tarp is a far better up grade. More room less weight. And with the or bug bivy you got all that the gossamer would give you for less weight.

Hah! StickmanWalking thought he was heaviest, but I'm at about 6 pounds total with my Half Dome +2, including the 10 oz ground cloth. Bugs find me, so I feel that I need the tent setup (although there were almost no bugs in Yoho, so maybe I'll rethink the tent idea). Then, assuming the tent concept rules, claustrophobia demands that I have something a little bigger than some of the solo tents. I was still under 40 lbs total, including food and water at the beginning of the Yoho 5-nighter, so that seems OK to me....
