I really don't think Carter was teh worst. If anyone has a #&%!$ about getting set up and being left holding the bag, it was him.

Carter was too nice to be Prez...ya need to be a little nasty and dishonest.

Unfortunately, "slow" shouldn't be part of the equation.

One thing IS for sure, Carter has been the BEST ex-President we've had in a long tme, if not ever.

I won't defend Carter. He wasn't that great.

Bush now has a plan to give incentive to marry. It will cost 1.5 BILLION dollars. Add the Mars-trip joke and the plans to make previous tax cuts permanent and you have fiscal meltdown on the horizon.

Our military strength is based on economic power. If we run our economy into the ground, we won't have the money or expertise to build good tanks.

Support National Security. Vote against Bush.

Oh, one more thing.

Under Bush administration polices, the value of the dollar against the Euro is down 22 PERCENT since last year, 12 percent against the Yen.

This means that the $100 dollars that you have in the bank has lost 10 to 20 percent of its value in the past year against the currencies that count.

This means higher prices at the store in the future. Let's call it the BUSH GROCERY TAX INCREASE.

"This means higher prices at the store in the future. Let's call it the BUSH GROCERY TAX INCREASE."

Does this mean the price of Little Debbies is going to go up? THAT'S IT! The basturd is out of there!

Groceries won't be affected much by the weakening of the dollar. We don't import much food.

Oil is linked to the US economy by OPEC trading in the dollar, and Chinese imports are linked to the dollar by China's currency being artificially kept in sync by the chinese government.

Heck, we could probably go several years before really beginning to notice the effects of the weak dollar.

Can onyone out there explain to me why gas prices around here are as high as they were in the Summer? Higher demand doesn't cut, the demand has been there. It seems as though gas prices have went up have stayed up during Bush. I do not recall a past time where gas prices have fluxed so much. I'm really not looking forward to seeing the gas prices this summer. 2.00 a gallon would awful!

The gas companies give us the shaft. Plain and simple. I don’t think the administration has THAT much control over the prices at the pump. Just like they jack the prices up just before the weekend every Thursday and they always jack it up just before a three day weekend.

If the politicians had the stones and presecuted some of these CEO's of companies that gouge he public (read Cakifornia Utilities), convicted them, fined them the amount that they profited and yhrew them in prison for 10 years with bo parole, things would change.

Howeverm there is an Oxi-moron there. "Politician with Stones".

Worst president ever? Bush is second,

Can anyone argue that the worst wasn't Nixon?

As far as Bush's intelligence (another oximoron) he announced Victory in Iraq, not realizing that the war hadn't started yet.

Gas Prices High?
First let me say that W is an idiot, was when we didn't elect him.

(Rant mode on)

As for gas prices, anyone remeber the '74 Oil embargo? Prices hit $2.00+ per gallon! How many years ago? 30! Gas is STILL under $2.00, despite inflation and all the rest. You people aren't going to like this, GAS SHOULD BE EXPENSIVE! There I said it. Until prices in this country fall in line, people will continue to drive monstrous SUVs that get horrendous gas mileage and whine about gas costing $1.65 or whatever. Gas should be expensive enough to make people consider it when the chose a vehicle. Just like land, they're not making any more oil and the day of reckoning IS coming.

We can make more oil, but it's going to mean burying a LOT of cattle.

Also, the production time is going to be a while.

TrailBum - awesome rant and I agree, however, these gas companies will be gettin' rich off me until that day comes. Bush has said time and time again, we need to be less dependent on overseas oil. What has been done to do that? Nothing. How come were are not seeing more Hybrid cars coming outta Detroit? We are only seeing more SUV's and sports cars. Disgusting!

Geeezzzz Us. Thanks for the link treebait. And I thought that little funnin Buddha did a while back was just a joke.

Odd thing here is that because of property loss, due to people building home in a forest, where they could burn, we have to waste the lanscape, agian. I say, a harsh as it is, if you build in the the treeline and don't have a firebreak (50 yd clear cut) around yer house, then you either don't build it, or don't #&%!$ when it goes up like a match stick. It sickens me when Fire Jumpers loose there lives tying to save human property from a natrual occurance.
