“The way Wunderground.com keeps changing the positions of the spaghetti lines indicates to me that none of them have any real idea of what is going to happen. But, whatever, it will be happening soon. And then they will all be claiming to have predicted the events perfectly.

In the meantime, Wunderground.com is driving me nuts with their mouse-over pop-up ads. A few other sites are doing it, too. I wish sites would give us an option of ads, no ads or a fixed percentage of ads. This would give them an understanding of how much we enjoy the crap on our screens. I have sworn to never respond to any of the ads like these. Only if I select to chick on an ad, is there any chance of my making a purchase.

“The spaghetti lines are trying to meet on the Eau Gallie Causeway over the Indian River Intercoastal Waterway. Even the single prediction forecast track has moved close to Melbourne in Brevard County.

I'm sure that this is based strictly on the fact that all four major hurricanes four years ago all hit Melbourne. They realize that Melbourne attracts Hurricanes. I even remember David, the eye of which passed direct over my motel just a little north of Melbourne back around 1979. And, a few years ago, Irene came across the state to hit us. I hate the local stations here. THey get you all keyed up about worse case scenarios, show all the damage from a mild tornado here yesterday, and then say "Now, don't panic!" Sheesh! I may be safe. Predicted track coordinates have Ernesto passing slightly west of Orlando before it turns back toward the Atlantic Ocean. Overall, the predicted track has shifted a little to the West during the past 24 hours, as of 11 A.M. today.

“LOL...HPM, in the late 80s I was in Savannah, we had the spring tides that would push the water over the roadways out towards the islands. One morning one of our Phi Beta Kappas came in and commented that the rain was really flooding the intercoastal Waterway and the waterways to the beach.”

By the way some breezes started here about one hour ago. Lying down while watching Casa Blanca on TV for the 1,xxx time, I could see the tree tops blowing out front across the big field across from my place. (No senior center with a 200-car parking lot there, yet.)

Ernesto winds have climbed up to 45 mph with gusts to 55. Stronger gusts from this thing could take down my previously damaged wall on the Florida Room. So I hope it holds its' course to west of Orlando and then swings out to sea between us.

“I tried accessing wunderground a few minutes ago and got a "This site is overloaded" message.”

“Only chicks age 55 and over are permitted. Previously, one had to buy their place outright. Now, since it became a Senior Park a few years ago, they do permit mortgages. And you have to be approved by a committee. When I got in here, the Park Manager was the entire committee. He gave me a hard time until a friend went to bat for me.

THe radar loop looks pretty cool right now. It's showing rain just below the county line here.”
