tree and myself were married by a JP 20 years ago this Jan. now tree said his vows, but when it was time for me to say I DO, the JP said we were married. I asked the JP why i did not have to say I DO, he said "oh I thought you wanted a one ring service"

then when I spoke to his sect, she said it was his first day in office and we were the very first people he married. another words, he messed up.

so my question is, even if I did not say I DO are we still married or can I get away with murder?”

“Thinkbubelz & I've spent our 15 year anniversary in September on a trip to Washington State... :-) What a beautiful place to be-- in the Olympic National Parks... We got to do the best of both worlds, car camping & day hiking, backpacking and some nights in hotels...

On our anniversary night, we got lucky and got a $200+ room at a nice resort town for under $100.... spent most of our trip relaxing in the beauty of the National Parks... ;-)



BTW-- Pamela, I'm sorry to hear about your troubles.... We have a friend whose wife just left him. He's always been a self-centered and selfish guy, but it's finally hit home that he needed to spend more time with the wife and less time wrapped up in his own things...(he's not a bad person, but he just tended to think more of himself than others.) He even called ME up and apologized for being a jerk to me (back when my hubby and I first met and we were all about 17 or 18).... I see him trying to amend things, just don't know if he will be able to salvage things in time-- his wife was unhappy years ago...but it never hit him how much....

It's tough to see friends go through the pain of separation (or divorce) but sometimes, it's warranted. My aunt was with my uncle for over 25 years out of "guilt" and "pity"... Sadly, he still lives in her house even though they are now divorced. He basically blamed his lack of employment on "the economy"... but hey--25 years of "bad economy" when he had a degree in ACCOUNTING?!!!”
