You heard it here
Clark is the Democrat's candidate.

A local reporter put the question to Bill. He made excuses, but he had the twinkle in his eye.

The Clinton's are the Democratic Party.

Clark: Americans 'embarrassed' by Bush

Candidate attacks president's economic plan, Iraq strategy
Sunday, September 28, 2003 Posted: 3:05 AM EDT (0705 GMT)

(CNN) -- Democratic presidential candidate Gen. Wesley Clark has attacked President Bush's economic plan as a failure, and said the war in Iraq was "unnecessary" and lacks a way to succeed or end.

Speaking after an event in Washington at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's annual conference, Clark, 58, told reporters that the American people are "really embarrassed" by the administration's leadership.

"We're in there without a strategy to win, and without a strategy to exit properly, and now the president's asked for $87 billion to prosecute it," said Clark.

"I think the reality is really striking the American people that this is an administration that doesn't have an effective foreign policy, and it doesn't have an effective strategy for prosecuting the war on terror," he added.

ok...here's what i mean, oh feble minded liberals of TT.....

bush is defending us very very well. there have been no attacks in the homeland since 9-11. even liberals have to admit this is amazing. they had alot of stuffed planned against us and nothing has happened.

there is no reason to vote for anyone else because bush has protected us, which is the #1 job of government.

clark was a republican till 24 days ago anyway....at least that's what your previous savior, howard dean, said on "DEface the nation" this morning......

his(dean's) point is valid and i thought of it first, HA HA HA!

did i mention that he was relieved of his duty in kosovo? and that were still there and it's a quagmire and that you are all hypocritical for not criticizing clinton for it?

and don't mention humanitarian crisis because that makes you hypocritical again cuz there have been close to 400,000 bodies found in mass graves in iraq since we invaded.

So Bush has "eased" your paranoid mind?

Kosovo a quagmire?
I suppose the "liberal media" is suppressing that news, huh?

I was talking to some students from Kosovo last summer.
They are Albanian Kosovars and are most grateful to the U.S. and other countries for putting a stop to the violence there.
The Serbs were truly running amuck there and life is getting back to normal they say.
One of the girls said to me that, "Milosevic's parents made suicide"......ouch!!!
Many people in the Balkans are glad to see Milosevic brought to justice.

I suppose it hurts to see a fellow fascist get it, huh stratty?

Strat... do you realize how funny it is when you mention no terror attacks happening here since 9/11?

How many terror attacks happened HERE before 9/11?

The first WTC bombing, the Fed building in OKC, the Olympic bombing. What did I forget?

Now let's look at after 9/11:
The anthrax letters and DC snipers

so in summation, prior to 9/11 there was 1 Islamic terror attack (that succeeded) in America

after 9/11 there were 2 (both multiple bodycount).

Not to mention the many attacks that are occuring on a daily basis throughout the globe.

bin Laden is still running free, we've discovered enriched uranium in Iran, the Saudis are looking into a nuclear program (you know, the country whose government supported and aided the 9/11 attackers)

I know how partisan you are, but doesn't this smell the least bit nasty to you??

"Nigal, you know you could be a buddy and come to Strat's defen-c-e."

While Strat's heart is in the right place his delivery needs some work. A little less froth around the mouth and a little lighter shade of red in his face would help. In his present form he is un defendable.

I simply do not fall for the stupid trolls he gets dragged into. It's like watching a gang of pedophiles lure a child into their house with candy.

I'm probablyalmost certainly more conservative than Stratdewd, but I'm a realist. Right now, all the trash talking about Clark is just posturing before the primaries. We'll see what he's made of, one way or another.
And violin, if you can point me towards an article that refutes his apparent flip flop re: his remarks in Pulaski Co. Ark, I'd be appreciative.

Violin
During extended remarks delivered at the Pulaski County GOP Lincoln Day Dinner in Little Rock, Arkansas on May 11, 2001, General Clark declared: "And I'm very glad we've got the great team in office, men like Colin Powell, Don Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice... people I know very well - our president George W. Bush. We need them there." - General Wesley Clark @ Drudge Report

I realize it's from Drudge, but no one has refuted this, so I'm assuming it wasn't taken out of context. Now we have Clark saying America is ashamed of Bush. Everyone says he's waffling and I haven't found anything yet to explain his change of heart, assuming the comments from 2001 were accurately repeated.

i'm also curious about Clark's remark that he'd be a Republican right now if Karl Rove (pretty sure it was Rove) had returned his phone calls. i respect flippancy as much as anyone, and have no party loyalty whatsoever, but this also seems a wee bit waffly.

tarbubble - yours is addressed above. It was a joke.

Haven't seen anything about that yet Stick, but a lot of folks at least gave Bush a pass early on. I supported his administration for several months after 9-11. I'm ashamed of what has happened since so I see no 'flip flop'. I think he's used the death of 3,000 of our countrymen to push a radical agenda to the detriment of this country and the world.

There's a lot that has happened since May 11, 2001. I think you could change your mind about an administration given their handling of foreign affairs since then without this seen as a flip-flop. I was for McGovern until he wouldn't stay loyal to Eagleton. I was behind Powell until he toed the line for W. Sometimes it works this way. Strat used to be a liberal.....

thanks, Violin - i must have missed it. i'm still undecided on Clark. he does seem like pretty much the only hope the Dems have, and i have no idea if the negatives i've read about him are from biased sources. i still think i'll be casting another throwaway vote in '04. ain't votin' for George II, that's fer sure.
