“anybody ever notice that ed, edd, and eddy are like the 3 parts of the freudian mind? ed is the id, not dumb, just completely impulse driven and does or says whatever bizarre random thing comes to him without a second thougt. edd (double-d) is the ego, the analyst, and over-thinks everything and is in love with rules and order. eddy is the super-ego, he is in charge, the planner, the leader, and reconciles the id (ed) and the ego (edd).

and then theres the x-men, comic book poster-children for the fight against prejudice. see, professor xavier is martin luther king, and the militant magneto is malcom x. theyre fighting the same battle from different angles
