“Stolen Horse Found In Girl's Bedroom

Horse To Be Auctioned Next Month

WADSWORTH, Ohio -- A horse stolen from in front of Bank One in Wadsworth was found in a girl's bedroom.

A homeowner realized Saturday that the fiberglass horse in his granddaughter's bedroom had been reported stolen. He reported the find to Wadsworth police.

Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron had reported the theft of the horse named, "American Beauty" on July 14. It was one of 85 colts in the public art event, "Horse of a Different Color."

The horse was decorated by the fifth- and sixth-graders from Wadsworth Central Intermediate School. It was to be auctioned off next month with the proceeds benefiting the Children's Heart Center and the Showers Family Center for Childhood Cancer.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have yet been made.”
