try this one: a 24 ounce Heineken beer can with the top chopped off - cheaper, lighter, and easier to find - I found mine at a local gas station

What is a grease pot and what do you use it for? I mean besides the obvious but what does it have to do with backpacking?

tarbubble and I have posted about this pot before. It's a good light cheap pot.
I made a 0.4 oz pot lifter for these type of pots with the outside rolled rim.
Scroll to the bottom half of the page.
2scoops has one of these pots also.

i'm gonna make a silnylon poncho/packcover/tarp combo next, but i'm feeling a bit intimidated by the hood. i also saw some cheap WP/B fabric at good ol' Walmart yesterday that i'm thinking about making a bivy from. plus i have about 80,000 things to do that are more important. i hate real life!

I have it in hand...
The pot Arrived today...super fast service...

The pot is everything advertised and I am very pleased..I will use it for two weeks in Alaska starting on Monday, daily use, will report on it when I return...this pot is kewl, I have been looking for one like it for years...P.S. Tinman! The pot cozy is a gas...the tab to fold down so you can use the pot cozy while the handle is attached showed you thought a great deal about the design.
