A link to some JMT photos
Hi! I recently returned from an awesome 19 day adventure of hiking the John Muir Trail. I lugged around my camera and lots of film, and I've been randomly scanning the photos and uploading them to an online folder at Photo.net. Here's the link if anyone is interested in seeing some scenery along the JMT! Thanks!

Beautiful pictures Buck! Next year I want to do a 6 or 7 day section (50 to 60 miles) of the JMT, so I love looking at pictures from along the trail while I try to decide which section to do.

You have one exceptional scanner to be able to get that kind of image quality on your photo.net account. That's some really impressive photography.

Here's a question. How'd you keep your Velvia cool during your trek?

Wonderful photos, the crystal-clear quality makes the images jump off the screen.

Did you post a trip report, too?

Yeah Buck. To call your trek awesome may well be an understatement. Throws me back about 30-some years when I did some of the JMT.

Cool, cool, cool.

Thanks for all the kind comments!
I really appreciate the kind words, but hey, you can't go wrong snappin' pretty shots in places like this! The scenery did all the work for me! Well, okay, I had to lug a tripod and bazillions of rolls of film for 211 miles, but so? Ha! I just made it back around to this site, I forgot how to get here, this is an active board, yaaa!

tekdude, the scanner I use is a Nikon Coolscan IV, and I guess the high altitude kept my Velvia cool enough!

PJ2, I did/am post(ing) a trip report, sorta, on another forum (Yellowstone Loon Chat Page), but mostly they were/are goofy comments, but I haven't really done a formal, organized trip report. My hikin' buddy and I are still workin' on that one, I still have lots of photos to scan.

stikmon, I'd love to see your pics... do you have a link?

For everyone else, thank you again for the kind remarks. Hike on!
