“Yea, we Netflix them if we have not seen the cable shows. Nigal was ranting and raving about how great Rescue Me was so I got the first season on DVD.
I know Rescue Me is on my sat dish but I never seen to be watching TV when it is on.”

“Oh that's OK Twiggy. LOL! Believe it or not we rent mostly tv shows through net flix. I don't even have cable or dish any more. There's very little I realy like on TV but what I do like I can rent and watch all at one time with no comercials.

I just watched the season finaly for season one of Rescue Me and I gotta say, what a damn bummer. They couldn't have left the show any lower unless they gave Franco's little daughter brain cancer. It was great. Just sad.”

“Last night I watched Mind Hunters, Hitchhiker's Guide and Interpeter.

Mind Hunter = 5: not all that believebe acting.

Hitchhiker's Guide = 9, WTF? I didn't know what to expect so was a little thrown by it. There were so many great catch lines..."Don't forget your towel.", Marvin was my favorite, "I'd tell you the chances of survival but you wouldn't like it.". Just a great movie that reminded me of the great old Disney movies like Bed Knobs and Broomsticks. QA story with wheels.

Interpreter = 7, Pretty good story, a little slow, but was pleasently surprised there was no stupid romantic story line in it.

I saw the trailor for Narnia last night and it looks awesome.”

If you ever want to see how great and versatile Ben Kingsley can be, first rent "Ghandi" then rent "Sexy Beast"---two characters so opposite each other that it's amazing he pulls it off. I've even seen him do comedy: try "What Planet Are You From?" It's from a few years ago (with Garry Shandling) and is pretty damn funny.”

I started watching Monster on HBO or Showtime but have never been able to sit thru the whole movie. I find myself channel surfing about halfway into it. LOL
I'm not into the whiney killer 'victim' types.”

“Well, this wasn't on DVD, but they showed Run Silent, Run Deep the other day, and was able to catch most of it. Really good WWII sub movie with Clark Gable and Burt Lancaster. The only real beef I have with it is the same I have with most WWII sub movies, that is the underwater model shots use a model with only 4 forward torpedo tubes, when WWII Fleet Boats had six. But it's a little thing.”

“Daniel Day-Lewis did his usual OCD prep routine for his role. There are a couple of scenes where it shows him reloading a muzzle-loading rifle on the run. He trained himself to actually be able to do this, putting himself in a very small group of people worldwide who have this skill.”
