Whoops! I did wonder why Nigal was talking about a tv show on a DVD thread, shoulda clued me in I guess... okay, so line up to kill me... :)” 9:43:20 AM 10/05/05 rent TV shows??? “Yea, we Netflix them if we have not seen the cable shows. Nigal was ranting and raving about how great Rescue Me was so I got the first season on DVD. I know Rescue Me is on my sat dish but I never seen to be watching TV when it is on.” 9:52:16 AM 10/05/05 “so why do have a dish then? or should I shut my mouth before you turn me into greasy gopher guts? LOL...” 9:55:56 AM 10/05/05 “..for the Sunday night HBO shows!” 9:57:45 AM 10/05/05 “Oh that's OK Twiggy. LOL! Believe it or not we rent mostly tv shows through net flix. I don't even have cable or dish any more. There's very little I realy like on TV but what I do like I can rent and watch all at one time with no comercials. I just watched the season finaly for season one of Rescue Me and I gotta say, what a damn bummer. They couldn't have left the show any lower unless they gave Franco's little daughter brain cancer. It was great. Just sad.” 10:20:38 AM 10/05/05 “I don't blame you there - if I wasn't getting such a bargain on cable, I'd do the same...” 10:42:58 AM 10/05/05 “I'm looking at Hollywood videos "wall" of new movies on the internet and there are about 96 movies there. I've seen a few good ones in the theater, but still how can the rest of them suck so bad that I can't find a recent decent movie to rent? What's that new movie, Mindkillers or something like that. It got fair reviews to bad reviews. Anyone see it? It's about FBI profilers brought together and they find out one of them is a serial killer.” 12:56:28 AM 10/08/05 “"some gratuitous nudity at the begining... 'Wednesday Adams' with giant boobs" thats good enough for me to move it to the front of my netflix queue” 5:12:05 AM 10/08/05 “Wow Crash, I thought I was the only one that finds here sexy in a wierd sort of way? I like women like her who are perfect and fake like most of the Hollywood women are. Saw Amittyville Horror (2005)last night. Not realy worth the time.” 7:35:38 AM 10/08/05 “I liked the new Amityvill Horror, but I saw it in a theater... Still, it was nowhere near as good as the original.” 8:19:36 AM 10/08/05 “I hadn’t seen the original. I was a bit biased because I had seen an interview with someone involved and they said the movie, while based on a true story, had very little to do with what really happened. I just hate it when Hollywood gives me a turd and tells me it’s a raisin. I’m also not a big fan of remakes either so this movie had little chance with me to begin with. LOL!” 8:27:52 AM 10/08/05 “Oh, Nige, see the original. Much more believable.” 10:13:19 PM 10/08/05 ““"some gratuitous nudity at the begining... 'Wednesday Adams' with giant boobs" thats good enough for me to move it to the front of my netflix queue” Crash Bang 5:12:05 AM 10/08/05 LOL @ C!B! They are very impressive! ;-)” 8:45:38 AM 10/09/05 “Last night I watched Mind Hunters, Hitchhiker's Guide and Interpeter. Mind Hunter = 5: not all that believebe acting. Hitchhiker's Guide = 9, WTF? I didn't know what to expect so was a little thrown by it. There were so many great catch lines..."Don't forget your towel.", Marvin was my favorite, "I'd tell you the chances of survival but you wouldn't like it.". Just a great movie that reminded me of the great old Disney movies like Bed Knobs and Broomsticks. QA story with wheels. Interpreter = 7, Pretty good story, a little slow, but was pleasently surprised there was no stupid romantic story line in it. I saw the trailor for Narnia last night and it looks awesome.” 9:58:43 AM 10/09/05 “Suspect Zero - Two thumbs up!” 10:58:55 AM 10/09/05 “Thanks Geezr! I've been eyeballing that one for some time now but haven't rented it yet. I like Ben Kingsley and the premise of that movie got my attention. If you ever want to see how great and versatile Ben Kingsley can be, first rent "Ghandi" then rent "Sexy Beast"---two characters so opposite each other that it's amazing he pulls it off. I've even seen him do comedy: try "What Planet Are You From?" It's from a few years ago (with Garry Shandling) and is pretty damn funny.” 12:10:46 PM 10/09/05 “3 episodes into the bbc version of "the office". first episode underwhelmed, eps 2 and 3 are a riot.” 2:05:35 PM 10/09/05 “I watched Off the Map again, I really like that movie... Somehow intelliflix messed up - I have two movies on the way and two to mail back... On the way are Hidalgo (viggo! viggo!) and Monster-in-Law” 1:35:34 PM 10/12/05 “..On the way are Hidalgo (viggo! viggo!)....” twigeater 1:35:34 PM *rolls eyes at twiggy*” 1:38:50 PM 10/12/05 “pfffft! *rolling my eyes at Stovie* "Wednesday Adams with giant boobs?" hey, you did see her in Monster didn't you? LOL... last edited: 10/12/05 1:57:53 PM” 1:56:38 PM 10/12/05 “..but they were very impressive boobs... ;-) I started watching Monster on HBO or Showtime but have never been able to sit thru the whole movie. I find myself channel surfing about halfway into it. LOL I'm not into the whiney killer 'victim' types.” 2:01:26 PM 10/12/05 “...and Viggo is impressive all over... ;)” 2:13:11 PM 10/12/05 “Animal House.” 2:19:40 PM 10/12/05 “Dang! I need to see if the National Lampoon's Animal House: Double Secret Probation Edition of that is on Netflix! Ha Ha! It's in my list! last edited: 10/12/05 2:24:01 PM” 2:20:55 PM 10/12/05 “Well, this wasn't on DVD, but they showed Run Silent, Run Deep the other day, and was able to catch most of it. Really good WWII sub movie with Clark Gable and Burt Lancaster. The only real beef I have with it is the same I have with most WWII sub movies, that is the underwater model shots use a model with only 4 forward torpedo tubes, when WWII Fleet Boats had six. But it's a little thing.” 2:25:25 PM 10/12/05 “I just put "big boobs" movie in my queue... Prozac Nation” 3:06:19 PM 10/12/05 “Iffn ya likes big boobs, just watch "Dog: The Bounty Hunter" sometime. His wife looks like she's about to fall over.” 3:08:48 PM 10/12/05 “There's a difference between big boobs and big trailor boobs Bit. LOL! Watched Lords of Dogtown the other night. It was good. Also watched disk2 of Penn and Teller's Bullshlt! This time they tackle sex bullshlt, Feng shui, bottled water, esp, creationism, and the self help industry.” 3:13:07 PM 10/12/05 “I call those things, circus boobs, LOL.” 3:15:10 PM 10/12/05 “They look more like flotation devices.” 3:21:01 PM 10/12/05 “I have really cultivated a hatred for fake boobs.” 3:22:43 PM 10/12/05 “Don't be hatin'!” 3:33:23 PM 10/12/05 “Yeah, Nigal, don't be hatin'. Cut the boobless women some slack. We might have some female TTers with manufactured boobs. Of course, there are a few TT women that would call myself, bit, and you, boobs. LOL” 3:52:26 PM 10/12/05 “Hang on, that's three? Are we on the chest of some mutant from Mars or something?” 3:54:16 PM 10/12/05 ““I have really cultivated a hatred for fake boobs.” - FrankeNigal It's funny YOU should say that because I always thought they looked like something Frankenstein would make. (no offense astrological girl)” 3:56:02 PM 10/12/05 “Prozac Nation was okay... the book is WAY WAY better!” 4:11:08 PM 10/12/05 “That is usually the case, di.” 4:12:58 PM 10/12/05 “For an interesting case of the other way 'round, The Last Of The Mohicans is a very entertaining movie, but the book is a windy bore.” 4:13:52 PM 10/12/05 “Hmmmm... I've read that book, but I haven't seen the movie (I like to compare). I'll add it to my netflix~!” 4:15:24 PM 10/12/05 “Off The Map is on my list now. Sam Elliott is one of my fav actors. I hope this isn't a chick flick.” 4:17:43 PM 10/12/05 “Thinkbubelz & I just re-watched the first 3 HArry Potter Movies this week... The "new" Dumbledore is not quite as good as the old one (which is much more obvious when you watch the movies back-to-back... :-)” 4:22:10 PM 10/12/05 “stove- "monster" is worth it if for nothing else other than the hot lezbean make-out scenes. just try to picture what charlize really looks like, instead of what she looks like in the movie.” 4:37:28 PM 10/12/05 “The documentary was better than Monster IMHO. Monster was very little about the actual crimes and case.” 6:44:05 PM 10/12/05 “yea, but did the doc have hot lezbean make-out scenes? didnt think so” 7:21:47 PM 10/12/05 “on a serious note, i thought it was a well-made movie (charlize theron gave the performance of the decade, and the make-up people did an unbelievable job of making her look like wournos), but i do take issue with a serial killer being portrayed sympathetically (if a little pathetically). riccis character's name was changed and was pretty much invented (to protect the privacy of the original woman, i suppose). ricci was probably much hotter.” 7:25:54 PM 10/12/05 “Just saw Mindhunter. I think that was the name; it was recently released. It was a shade better than critics reported. I'd recommend renting it. It was good. Anyone hear that guy from Layer Cake may be the new James Bond? He was the main charactor. I think he can pull it off.” 9:46:11 PM 10/12/05 “bite me, gopher guts! :) Another good movie is Tape” 7:38:56 AM 10/13/05 ““Just saw Mindhunter. I think that was the name; it was recently released. It was a shade better than critics reported. I'd recommend renting it. It was good." I was surprised Slater got wacked so early in the movie. "Anyone hear that guy from Layer Cake may be the new James Bond? He was the main charactor. I think he can pull it off.” Yes, he could pull it off well. I think the guy from Transporter I and II could do it as well. Layer Cake was a great movie.” 7:41:56 AM 10/13/05 The Last of the Mohicans “Daniel Day-Lewis did his usual OCD prep routine for his role. There are a couple of scenes where it shows him reloading a muzzle-loading rifle on the run. He trained himself to actually be able to do this, putting himself in a very small group of people worldwide who have this skill.” 7:51:16 AM 10/13/05 “Has anyone ever seen "Mars Attacks"? We bought it off of the cheap DVD rack... Now I know why....” 10:23:52 AM 10/13/05 Jump to Page << prev
