It's ok Crash, you can still watch it. Stovie, I watched it with a guy. He also started to lose interest in the movie near the end. : (” 3:50:32 PM 2/01/06 “Laurel loves "Madagascar!" Just wait until Abby starts singing one of the songs and repeating some of the lines nonstop! Ali G is very funny in the movie.” 3:54:10 PM 2/01/06 “so, what youre saying, pixie, is that stovestomper is not a real man ;-)” 4:00:40 PM 2/01/06 “Stovie, I watched it with a guy. He also started to lose interest in the movie near the end. : (” pixie 3:50:32 PM 2/01/06 Hee hee hee... I think if I was watching a movie with Pixie, I would be more interested in something else too.... ;-)” 4:02:45 PM 2/01/06 “Ever seen Second Hand Lions? My kids and I got that one weekend. Out at the FARM, I refuse to get cable, or satellite so we gather for dinner there, and then watch a movie....GREAT movie.” 4:03:54 PM 2/01/06 “We watched Donnie Darko last night that was one of the creepiest darkest weirdest movies i've ever seen Ever seen Second Hand Lions that was a great movie...i was afraid it was gonna be cheesy but it wasn't” 4:06:26 PM 2/01/06 “Saw Kicking and Screaming last night. Not too bad for a kid's movie. I have three DVDs coming in today: Lilya 4-Ever, Arrested Development: Season 2: Disc 3, and Croupier. I hate when Netflix sends all three at once.” 1:03:50 PM 2/02/06 “I read some good reviews of Croupier. The lead in that was being considered for the next Bond for awhile, but I guess he wasn't pretty enough.” 1:05:54 PM 2/02/06 “Me too, bit. That's why I put it in my Q.” 1:08:34 PM 2/02/06 “Anyone interested in doing a dvd club? We could all rent the same movie, watch, then discuss (on it's own thread of course. Wouldn't want to upset Crash with a spoiler.) ; )” 1:27:29 PM 2/02/06 “pixie, they do that on imdb.com. If you put in the name of a movie on that site and go to the bottom of the movie's page, there is a discussion board.” 2:04:26 PM 2/02/06 “revenge of the sith by far” 2:06:11 PM 2/02/06 “Heads up to you all. I have been an Intelliflix member for a while now. I was drawn in by the lower subscription fee. I would highly recommend against it though. When I have had problems, the only way to contact customer service is via email. It takes days, if ever, for them to respond. When they do respond, it isn't even on point. It is impossible to get a live person to talk to since they don't exist. It is impossible to cancel your membership after you have paid for the year. When you put movies in your queue, they send them to you in no particular order. So having a movie in the top spot doesn't mean you will get it next or even in the next few months. Their distribution centers appear to be random video stores around the country. My movies have come from NH, DE, MA, NJ, TX, FL, and CA. When I complained that it takes a long time to receive movies, sometimes more than two weeks, the response I received was to put more movies into my queue. There are over 50 movies in my queue. WTF? When I sent in a concern via email, I got a response a few days later that didn't even address my original email. So I responded back saying just that. The response I received to that was also just as off point as the first one. It's like they have a computer or a non-English speaking or non-reading person picking and choosing random programmed responses to send as replies. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!” 2:17:12 PM 2/02/06 “I was wondering about that, Ruby. I read the same complaints you are making on some Forum I found, but neither you nor twiggy had posted any complaints so I figured it was OK.” 2:25:32 PM 2/02/06 “watched the ferpect crime last night. it was ok. i did like the "clown fashion" at the end some bill hicks stand-up came in the mail today. should be really good” 3:25:33 PM 2/02/06 “I don't want to talk to strangers about movies lipstick. I want to talk to these people. Question still stands: Start a dvd club? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? We kind of already doing it, but this way we can talk about it without ruining movies for people.” 6:51:55 PM 2/02/06 “Ok fine. I'm starting it.” 6:59:35 PM 2/02/06 “Yea Pixie!” 7:02:51 PM 2/02/06 7:11:42 PM 2/02/06 “It is utterly impossible to get a live person to deal with customer service issues or even get an emailed response. And it appears to be impossible to get a prorated refund on the $105 I paid. After reading the reveiws you posted, Stovey, and then finding even more reviews, most of which were as bad as they could possibly be, I realize that my issues are par for the course with this company. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. I'd love to see a class action lawsuit initiated. It seems there are enough of us out here who are unhappy and who have been duped.” 9:22:44 PM 2/02/06 “I've had no problems at all with Intelliflix and have been a member since August. I haven't had even one of the problems you described above Ruby. I always get a prompt response as well. I knew when I signed up for one year (to get the lower rate of $8.25/month) that it couldn't be cancelled or refunded. And more distribution centers is supposed to be a good thing.” 7:36:46 AM 2/03/06 “I'm glad that you have gotten good service, Twiggy. Lots of distribution centers is fine with me. It's just that I live outside of Chicago. So all of the distribution centers that send to me are far away and thus take at least a week to arrive. The other day I finally received a movie (on the 29th) that shipped out on the 11th! As a result of the long shipping times, it is impossible for me to watch more than 3 - 5 movies a month.” 7:52:17 AM 2/03/06 “Thinking about it, my reasons for joining a service may have been different than some which is why I may be more satisfied with teh service... I never rush right out for the latest main stream movie, usually I don't even know what's coming out, and there are extremely few that I care to watch. I rarely go to the movie theater and then it's to a theater that shows mostly independent films. Most of my rentals are documentarys or off the wall stuff that I wouldn't rent if I had to pay $5 and watch it in 5 days. The best part is that when I get a movie I can keep it as long as I want, and I don't feel like I've wasted my $$ renting a movie I only half watched (which is often). On the other hand, when you go to the movie store do they ALWAYS have new releases in stock? They don't around here.” 7:54:39 AM 2/03/06 “3-5 movies a month gets you your money's worth anyway. :)” 7:56:09 AM 2/03/06 “Wouldn't you know it. I complained about Netflix sending all three movies on the same day yesterday. I get home and none are in my mailbox. LOL Guess I'll have three movies to watch tonight, maybe.” 8:05:14 AM 2/03/06 “Hey SS. Did your dvds get back to you OK?” 8:07:13 AM 2/03/06 “Yep, Nigal they did. Well I guess they did, have not openned the package. ;-)” 8:08:34 AM 2/03/06 “saw Thumbsucker and Milwaukee, Minnesota this weekend...both good somewhat deep films Thumbsuckers was about a teenager that, well, sucks his thumb and how he explores the deeper reason for why he does this...it's got a pretty big cast in it for being an indy film...Keanu Reeves(who i usually hate but does a good job in this), Vince Vaughn, and Vincent D'Onofrio Milwaukee, Minnesota was about a mentally handicapped person who's mother dies and various people try to take advantage of him...very good movie...Randy Quaid plays a great bad guy” 9:04:25 AM 2/06/06 “You guys were right, Madagascar was awesome! I was surprised at how much adult humor there was for a PG movie...although I guess if you weren't old enough to get the jokes, they'd just go right over your head, no harm, no foul. Very cute movie! Up next in ye olde queue is Thirteen, War of the Worlds (ew), and How's Your News?” 9:15:47 AM 2/06/06 “lyra - my kids still dance around and say, "I like to move it, move it, I like to move it, move it." We watched the 2nd Zorro flick this weekend. I loved the first one but wasn't impressed this go around. The plot was way too transparent.” 9:30:48 AM 2/06/06 “Thirteen was a very disturbing movie. Lilya 4-Ever is even more disturbing. I was sorry I watched Lilya 4-Ever. Not that it was bad, just the subject matter. Very sad movie.” 9:30:59 AM 2/06/06 “I watched The Interpreter sometime last week...okay movie.” 9:40:27 AM 2/06/06 “You can always count on Pixar to come out with a good flick. How about that trailer for Cars that aired during last night's Not-So-Super Bowl?” 9:08:16 PM 2/06/06 “Anyone seen this? I have it in my Netflix Q: I, Claudius (5-Disc Series) (1976 TV) Roman history comes alive in this 13-part series told from the perspective of Claudius. His physical impairments helped him avoid assassination by the corrupt Caligula, only to become utterly corrupt himself. Tracing the lives of the first of the Roman emperors, this 13-part series is an epic of ruthless ambition, shocking debauchery and murderous intrigue set in one of history's most fascinating eras.” 2:33:05 PM 2/09/06 “no. you're weird. :)” 2:34:24 PM 2/09/06 ....but in a good way..... “Pardon, I forgot just what type of forum I was posting to for a minute. :O ;-)” 2:38:08 PM 2/09/06 “LOL...one Christmas I had Caligula on my book list...” 2:40:01 PM 2/09/06 Roman Forum “ ”2:40:52 PM 2/09/06 “"Cars" looks really lame. pixar has jumped the shark” 3:16:02 PM 2/09/06 “Stove, that sounds like the PBS series. It's a play done on a stage, not a "movie" with BIG vistas and special effects, and it's in black and white. Now that you know what to expect, the acting is superb! This story will stay with you a long time.” 9:06:50 PM 2/10/06 “Watched Wallace and Grommet last night with the kids. You should have heard them giggle when the vicar wails, "Beware of the moon!" and Victor is hanging on the flagpole with his butt cheeks showing. It's hysterical to watch my 8 year old's reaction because she's starting to get the subtle innuendos and play on words. She'll exclaim, "OH! OH! Mom, did you get that?!" :o)” 10:16:37 AM 2/11/06 “I love Wallace and Grommet too, sunny! navguesser, the first two disks of I, Claudius should be in my mailbox Wed or Thur, thanks for the comments! Starting to get a little cheesed at Netflix. The turnaround time is a full week now. I mailed three DVDs back all together Thursday, they shipped two new ones on Monday, and waited until today to ship the third. Maybe it's time to give Netflix a rest. Still, they are a great source for old TV series. last edited: 2/14/06 10:04:21 AM” 10:02:23 AM 2/14/06 “I got Girlhood from Intelliflix, and Grizzly Diaries that I purchased arrived today. I never remember when I mail my stuff back, maybe that's why I don't mind intelliflix. :) I also forget what's in my queue, so I have no idea what I'm "waiting" for. :)” 10:20:14 AM 2/14/06 “directors cut of donnie darko was really bizarre but really good "show me the bunny!"” 5:08:36 AM 2/16/06 “YEAH! Rent is finally out on DVD! The wife is buying it on her lunch out.” 8:39:06 AM 2/22/06 “I wonder about that boy sometimes.... not that there is anything wrong with that. ;-)” 8:41:21 AM 2/22/06 “Hell I worry about me sometime....but there is nothing I can do about it.” 8:45:16 AM 2/22/06 “I watched a pretty cool movie the other night. It stared and was directed by Angelica Houston. It was about an Irish woman with 7 kids struggling with life after her husband dies. It was called Agetha Brown.” 12:17:57 PM 2/23/06 “Medical Experiments!” 12:19:31 PM 2/23/06 “I'm looking forward to renting Walk The Line. Prolly one of the only movies that came out in the last several months that has really interested me. I believe I saw that it comes out on the 28th.” 12:39:52 PM 2/23/06 Jump to Page << prev
