Typical conspiracy action yarn.” 5:12:13 AM 7/03/07 “I watched Constant Gardner last night, it was very good.” 10:03:38 AM 7/03/07 “The Holiday I liked a Chick Flix, so sue me.” 6:56:05 PM 7/03/07 “Damn and you dare question my cinematic tastes? LOL!” 10:25:27 AM 7/04/07 “Stovie - I didn't like Holiday, and watched Rent for about 2 minutes... I watched most of Must Love Dogs last night, will have to finish it tonight...I was worried that Diane Lane's character was going to be as stupid as the one she played in Under the Tuscan Sun but it's good so far...” 10:14:47 AM 7/05/07 “I watched an awesome Sci-Fi mini series last night called the Lost Room. After Detective Joe Miller (Peter Krause) finds a key that opens a mysterious motel room, he discovers it's a portal to an alternate universe when his young daughter Anna (Elle Fanning) disappears inside. Desperate to retrieve the key and save her, Miller comes up against a host of bizarre characters who also want access to the room. One of the most original story lines I've seen in a long time.” 9:14:14 AM 7/07/07 “Saw Hannibal Rising last night. http://www.indemand.com/viewProduct.jsp?prodId=65762&page_sectionId=1 Condensed version of the book about the early life of Hannibal. Not quite as good as the book, but a good version. Two thumbs up. last edited: 7/07/07 11:14:30 AM” 11:12:38 AM 7/07/07 “I just saw The Descent. I watched it last night with all of the lights turned out and it FREAKED me out a little. Pretty good flick and I liked that all of the characters were women. Anyone seen this?” 12:18:12 PM 7/31/07 “Not for the same reasons as you, but yeah, love that movie. lol Makes me want to go spelunking. ;)” 12:39:13 PM 7/31/07 “I used to be a pretty active caver when I lived in Knoxville. It was one of the most stupid movies ever made to me.” 2:00:19 PM 7/31/07 “I think the ending is what made it for me. Did she become the mother for the creatures? Just die?” 2:03:29 PM 7/31/07 “Cannot remember the last movie I saw...wait a minute, I think it was Happy Feet.” 2:04:53 PM 7/31/07 “Boy the wife is great! She went and got 300, Pathfinders, and Super Fuzz for the weekend. I've always thought she had great pubes though.” 2:16:23 AM 8/01/07 “downloading aqua teen hunger force colon movie film for theaters. should be ready in about an hour” 4:10:32 AM 8/01/07 “Saw Premonition and Apocolypto...both good but the latter was excellent...” 5:15:01 AM 8/28/07 “we need a thread for downloaded movies” 5:33:05 AM 8/28/07 “Apocolypto was awesome. Because Premonition was blessed with the beautiful Sandra Bullock so I couldn't not enjoy watching her, but there seemed to be a lot of essential parts of that movie left on the cutting room floor when they put the film in the can.” 5:42:35 AM 8/28/07 “Sandra is nice, but let's not forget Julian McMahon of Nip/Tuck...” 6:04:53 AM 8/28/07 “LOL! Because that's such a good comparison, twiggie. :-D Do they have a new season of that show? We watched Babel the other night, that was purty good.” 6:10:21 AM 8/28/07 “yes there is a new season of Nip/Tuck...can't wait! There was something this summer that was kind of a preview of it, but I just happened on it and didn't see it all... :(” 6:27:05 AM 8/28/07 “Fracture with Anthony Hopkins... good flick” 7:30:34 AM 8/28/07 “At the hyway house lately we have been going back through the movies of the 80's and 90's that my daughters have never seen. My daughter recently expressed a desire to be an astronaut so we have been watching a lot of space movies. Last night we watched Space Camp. I had forgotten how many successful actors were in that movie as kids. We enjoyed it. On previous nights we have watched Deep Impact (good movie but not a lot of space stuff), Starship Troopers because it is a lot of fun even if it isn't anything like the fine book of the same name, Paycheck was all sciencey and lots of fun to boot. We have Armageddon in the On Deck circle. That one should be much more "spacey" than Deep Impact and make my future astronaut happy.” 9:06:20 AM 8/28/07 “I want to see The Little Girl who Lives down the Lane again...” 9:21:57 AM 8/28/07 “Just finished up season one of Heroes. Good gawd ya'll! As good as Lost imho.” 6:37:03 PM 9/09/07 “it wasn't on DVD, but I just watched My Cousin Vinnie again for the umpteenth time. I forget how funny that movie is, especially Mirisa Tomei. Smoking hot and a script full of hilarious lines perfectly delivered.” 9:06:00 PM 9/27/07 “Just finished 28 weeks. What great gory fun. The chopper gore was awesome.” 7:58:08 PM 11/03/07 “kick-ass movie. the sequels pretty good, too” 8:02:02 PM 11/03/07 “that was the sequel to 28 days. 28 days was good too, but it wasn't the romp that this one was :) Is there a sequel to 28 weeks?” 8:50:21 PM 11/03/07 “oh wait. sorry. got confused. i thought you were talking about the first movie but, yes. there will be a sequel to 28 weeks later. called you guessed it 28 months later” 8:52:34 PM 11/03/07 “I just went to the Internet Movie Database and couldn't find 28 months later. I did find something called 28 Months Later Mod for Crisis online game thats coming out.” 9:08:57 PM 11/03/07 “theyre still talking about it. they havent even started pre-production. theres an entry about it in wikipedia” 9:10:09 PM 11/03/07 “cool, looking forward to it. I like my zombies to be fast, strong and bloodthirsty” 9:12:17 PM 11/03/07 “I wonder how many ppl have gone to the movie store or netflix to rent 28 days later and ended up with 28 days with sandra bullock, or vice versa, especially if they sent someone else to get it i can imagine sitting through the movie "dammit, i wish bullock would just get her brains eaten by a zombie already. its the least she deserves for making miss congeniality 2"” 11:42:50 PM 11/03/07 “its the least she deserves for making miss congeniality 2 You sound disappointed in it, as if you watched it. Did you?” 6:44:18 AM 11/04/07 “hey now, I would watch Sandra Bullock make mud pies with fisher price toys. Just tune out the rest of the movie, which is what I think I did with MC2. wasn't that where she was partnered with an even more testosterone loaded female agent?” 6:53:13 AM 11/04/07 “BTW, the girls and I have been watching Red Dwarf - a BBC scifi comedy series - and are having a great time with it. We are waiting for season 3 to arrive.” 6:58:49 AM 11/04/07 Proud to have joined Netflix... “Rarely would I even drag to the movie store to rent just because of pure laziness. My que is so full I'll be watching movies til 2010. Cheese or not.... Reign over Me was excellentomundo! I almost didn't rent it because of Sandler...he & Jim Carey are on my "All Time - Who Gets on My Nerves List" and The Queen so good I may watch it again before sending it back.” 9:41:31 AM 11/04/07 “I saw a couple good movies last weekend. The best one was called The Ultimate Gift. It's a PG movie so I automaticlly thought it'd be cheesy but it was a great movie. Here's the trailer...Clicky I also saw Strangers With Candy based on the Comedy Central show. OMG I laughed so damn hard! A must see for fans of the show. We just got season 2 of Big Love and I am firmly hooked just like season one did.” 6:43:48 PM 12/11/07 “anyone who says "clicky", their judgement on cheesiness is not to be trusted ;-)” 6:45:56 PM 12/11/07 “Crash has a point there, Nigal. ;-)” 6:47:44 PM 12/11/07 “A day late and a dollar short… again, eh Rosey? Check back a few pages for my post where I recommended The Descent and people commented on their experience seeing it. Mostly I’m seeing mainstream recommendations, which is not all bad. But when I go to the video store I try to check out the obscure little flicks that nobody’s ever heard of or that haven’t got much advertising behind them. I know that’s not a shocker to many people who have read my posts over the years. Sometimes I get a Plan 9 from Outer Space (see Alien 3000). But sometimes I get a gem. And that makes it all worthwhile. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND: BEHIND THE MASK, THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON. This is one of the funniest movies I’ve seen in years. It’s smart, funny, and a very creative concept. Just when I thought Hollywood had run out of ideas… This is A GEM! I’ll buy it, and add this to my collection, when the price comes down. If anyone has the courage to take a recommendation from me, make sure you watch the special features. There’s a scene that was cut from the movie that never should have been lost. I hope it makes it to the director’s cut, if there is a director’s cut.” 3:54:31 AM 12/12/07 “who tf is rosey and why are you talking to him/her?” 4:19:59 AM 12/12/07 “I hunted up the trailer for th at movie Arc and it looks hilarious. I'm putting it in my que now.” 5:11:54 PM 12/12/07 “ive seen the trailers for ultimate gift before, and tho it looks cheesy, i thought itd be the good kind of cheesy. but the little girls over-the-top schmaltzy lines really pushed me away” 7:04:46 PM 12/12/07 “Mr. Elitist is talking about me two months after I posted something. Talk about a day late...Sorry we can't all be so erudite, off-beat and as cutting edge as you, Arc. Must be lonely at the top...” 8:37:29 AM 12/13/07 “I thought The Descent blew chunks!” 8:42:02 AM 12/13/07 “Hey, isn't that what pregnant women do anyway?” 8:43:18 AM 12/13/07 “Not me, not a once! :-P We saw The Illusionist recently, that was a good one. Total surprise ending!” 8:54:30 AM 12/13/07 “That was a good one and better than the other magician movie, the one with Hugh Jackman, which was good, but still not as good as the Illusionist.” 9:31:28 AM 12/13/07 “Pan's Labyrinth Saw some awesome reviews for this, but never saw it. Has anybody here given it a try?” 9:05:33 AM 12/29/07 Jump to Page << prev
