This is a BP related thread!!!!!
So keep to the topic or i'll sic bb on you all :)

Anyway I walked in to TRader Joes today and was astounded by all the possibilities of trail food. OMG! I am not gonna just stick to ramen and freeze dried stuff any more, I'm gonna try new stuff. And its all at a reasonable price too. I cant wait to try some of this stuff out that I bought :) They even have salmon jerky, all natural for a very good price.

Their cous cous and hummus are good there as well. There are also some packaged (not dehydrated) indian foods there that are pretty good.

We don't have Trader Joes in Memphis, but we do have Wild Oats. It appears they are very similar.

When we were on the CDT a friend in California had a TJ spree - we got exotic dried fruit of all kinds - mango, papaya, strawberries, etc. Wonderful. He also sent some stuff from the Asian market that wasn't so hot - but we appreciated the thought. If they still have Tia Maria dried beans - try it. With extra water it makes a good on-trail bean soup - if not, add a little dried salsa and cheese and you can have a good bean burro.
