Don't Americans have a right to make and keep their own money????” 2:00:45 PM 8/30/10 “Who's upset? That'd be you...” 2:06:00 PM 8/30/10 “What's wrong with making money? I mean, isn't that what capitalism is all about?” 2:08:21 PM 8/30/10 “You're 12, aren't you?” 2:10:58 PM 8/30/10 “Oh wait. Are you NOW upset that rich people govern the country? Or is it just that it's not YOUR rich party members in charge? I guess we all have our epiphanies at different points in time...” 2:14:11 PM 8/30/10 “Eleven?” 2:20:13 PM 8/30/10 “It's a good thing your 'protected'.” 7:44:15 PM 8/30/10 “ Too funny – Yaknow.... I'm wondering just how stupid Fox viewers are these days. We need a new survey, new numbers. We're hearing that some 29% of Americans think Obama is a Muslim.... How many of Those people believe what they hear on Fox? Probably an overwhelming majority. But I'd like to see the numbers to see *exactly* how stupid these people are. Ignorance is one thing.... but when it's been demonstrated time an again that they're being lied to and they still swallow it whole, that's *willful* ignorance — and that's just stupid. ” 5:55:26 AM 8/31/10 “What's stupid is thinking that Fox actually said he's a Muslim.” 6:12:07 AM 8/31/10 Nailed it: “The last refuge of a liberal By Charles Krauthammer Friday, August 27, 2010; A21 Liberalism under siege is an ugly sight indeed. Just yesterday it was all hope and change and returning power to the people. But the people have proved so disappointing. Their recalcitrance has, in only 19 months, turned the predicted 40-year liberal ascendancy (James Carville, various TTers) into a full retreat. Ah, the people, the little people, the small-town people, the "bitter" people, as Barack Obama in an unguarded moment once memorably called them, clinging "to guns or religion or" -- this part is less remembered -- "antipathy toward people who aren't like them." That's a polite way of saying: clinging to bigotry. And promiscuous charges of bigotry are precisely how our current rulers and their vast media auxiliary react to an obstreperous citizenry that insists on incorrect thinking. -- Resistance to the vast expansion of government power, intrusiveness and debt, as represented by the Tea Party movement? Why, racist resentment toward a black president. -- Disgust and alarm with the federal government's unwillingness to curb illegal immigration, as crystallized in the Arizona law? Nativism. -- Opposition to the most radical redefinition of marriage in human history, as expressed in Proposition 8 in California? Homophobia. -- Opposition to a 15-story Islamic center and mosque near Ground Zero? Islamophobia. Now we know why the country has become "ungovernable," last year's excuse for the Democrats' failure of governance: Who can possibly govern a nation of racist, nativist, homophobic Islamophobes? Note what connects these issues. In every one, liberals have lost the argument in the court of public opinion. Majorities -- often lopsided majorities -- oppose President Obama's social-democratic agenda (e.g., the stimulus, Obamacare), support the Arizona law, oppose gay marriage and reject a mosque near Ground Zero. What's a liberal to do? Pull out the bigotry charge, the trump that preempts debate and gives no credit to the seriousness and substance of the contrary argument. The most venerable of these trumps is, of course, the race card. When the Tea Party arose, a spontaneous, leaderless and perfectly natural (and traditionally American) reaction to the vast expansion of government intrinsic to the president's proudly proclaimed transformational agenda, the liberal commentariat cast it as a mob of angry white yahoos disguising their antipathy to a black president by cleverly speaking in economic terms. Then came Arizona and S.B. 1070. It seems impossible for the left to believe that people of good will could hold that: (a) illegal immigration should be illegal, (b) the federal government should not hold border enforcement hostage to comprehensive reform, i.e., amnesty, (c) every country has the right to determine the composition of its immigrant population. As for Proposition 8, is it so hard to see why people might believe that a single judge overturning the will of 7 million voters is an affront to democracy? And that seeing merit in retaining the structure of the most ancient and fundamental of all social institutions is something other than an alleged hatred of gays -- particularly since the opposite-gender requirement has characterized virtually every society in all the millennia until just a few years ago? And now the mosque near Ground Zero. The intelligentsia is near unanimous that the only possible grounds for opposition is bigotry toward Muslims. This smug attribution of bigotry to two-thirds of the population hinges on the insistence on a complete lack of connection between Islam and radical Islam, a proposition that dovetails perfectly with the Obama administration's pretense that we are at war with nothing more than "violent extremists" of inscrutable motive and indiscernible belief. Those who reject this as both ridiculous and politically correct (an admitted redundancy) are declared Islamophobes, the ad hominem du jour. It is a measure of the corruption of liberal thought and the collapse of its self-confidence that, finding itself so widely repudiated, it resorts reflexively to the cheapest race-baiting (in a colorful variety of forms). Indeed, how can one reason with a nation of pitchfork-wielding mobs brimming with "antipathy toward people who aren't like them" -- blacks, Hispanics, gays and Muslims -- a nation that is, as Michelle Obama once put it succinctly, "just downright mean"? The Democrats are going to get beaten badly in November. Not just because the economy is ailing. And not just because Obama over-read his mandate in governing too far left. But because a comeuppance is due the arrogant elites whose undisguised contempt for the great unwashed prevents them from conceding a modicum of serious thought to those who dare oppose them. (He forgot to mention the "stupid" charge but I'm sure someone else, *ahem*, will chime in somehere with it.....)” 6:13:31 AM 8/31/10 “It happened with prop 187 in Ca 16 years ago. Remember, that's 15 years before the Arizona Law was thought of. Where were all of you anti-immigration people then, when the liberal state passed that with 61% of the vote?” 6:35:30 AM 8/31/10 “Pull out the bigotry charge, the trump that preempts debate and gives no credit to the seriousness and substance of the contrary argument. That has been the defining characteristic of the ground zero "debate" on TT. The opposition presents reasoned arguments why it should not be built. Violin/Nigal/et al plug ears and yell "bigotry" as loudly as they can.” 6:42:00 AM 8/31/10 “Where were all of you anti-immigration people then, when the liberal state passed that with 61% of the vote? Ah member whar ah wuz: me an Mutt and HPD an XL an Stovie wuz sittin on a hill shootin at furriners tryin to sneak in an take are jobs!” 7:04:09 AM 8/31/10 “You are all over prop 8, why not show some consistency and give some credit to a state that is light-years advanced to your biblical south” 7:22:45 AM 8/31/10 “LMFAO! Consistency huh? Okay, set your TT clock back 16 years and show me examples of my inconsistency on the subject. "Light years", lol.” 7:29:29 AM 8/31/10 “salebored is consistent in not saying anything” 7:33:45 AM 8/31/10 “You just did.” 7:49:14 AM 8/31/10 “The opposition presents reasoned arguments why it should not be built. Feelings are not rational or reasoned.” 8:53:03 AM 8/31/10 “reasoned arguments, not feelings, but nice try.” 8:53:53 AM 8/31/10 “Oh you mean the whole, they should do it because it's right diatribe? Yeah. Super deep reasoned argument. Did you aspire to be the water boy in Model U.N. It's easy to see the impact of 24/7 viewing of the erronious crap spewed on Faux: http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2010/0830/newsweek-majority-gop-obama-supports-radical-muslim-extremists/” 9:35:36 AM 8/31/10 “they should do it because it's right diatribe? Oh right - you were the one who was most bowled over by concept of non-governmental action. At least you weren't playing the "bigot" card as lamely as VioliNigal.” 10:28:37 AM 8/31/10 “More like bowled over by your naivety.” 10:39:47 AM 8/31/10 “Again! LOL” 11:00:45 AM 8/31/10 “More like bowled over by your naivety. You really shouldn't accuse others of being naive when you honestly believe that this highly publicized mosque being built near the site of the biggest radical Islamic victory in recent history will actually "build bridges".” 11:13:41 AM 8/31/10 “I don't give a piss about building bridges. I'm about allowing what is allowable under the law.” 11:15:15 AM 8/31/10 “I'm about allowing what is allowable under the law. So am I. You naively believe that only government can act on situations like this. It's a completely foreign concept to you and others who are dependent on mommy government.” 11:18:48 AM 8/31/10 “Right, because having laws is a BAD thing *eyeroll*” 11:20:59 AM 8/31/10 “LOL - I point out your fallacy, and you engage in it again immediately. Classic liberal arguing style.” 11:25:17 AM 8/31/10 “Rosey, you want to come talk to the 6ft block wall that surrounds my house, it's made of only one kind of blocks?” 11:51:58 AM 8/31/10 “He's going to call you a homo next, mutt.” 12:10:25 PM 8/31/10 “No need to.” 12:32:06 PM 8/31/10 “Rosey what exactly is the Purpose of LAWS in this country? NO really, do you understand the English Common Law background that the nation was built on? DO you even GRASP the incredible nature of the Founding Fathers and their intent? Do us all a huge favor and read the Federalist Papers. Okay read the fact that the Founding Fathers were SCARED to death of an imperial FEDERAL government. The bvery thing that you and the California wackos are getting is what we DON'T need. Because it DISCOUNTS the incredible nature of humans to overcome obstacles.” 1:48:19 PM 8/31/10 “You're right. What am I thinking. We don't need laws. Anarchy for everyone.” 2:43:18 PM 8/31/10 “DO you even GRASP the raskaly batastical shmitznika lafutnshka libuatskenta parabaquentileal bark bark bark barrrrhhhhh BLAAAAAAAAAAAA http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=b17_1283193915” 2:48:34 PM 8/31/10 “That block wall is around three sides and can be seen from my back yard.” 3:25:01 PM 8/31/10 “BAWHAWHAWHAW!” 6:07:43 PM 8/31/10 “ ”6:23:10 PM 8/31/10 “Rosey, if you read the Federalist Papers and the Constitution you will find that the Federal Government was created, NOT to rule our lives (for some strange reason the Founding Fathers figured most people could take care of themselves). Rather the laws of WHAT WE COULD NOT DO (That is the basis for English Common law as opposed to French based Law is that Common law sets out what is prohibited where as the Napoleon Code (kinda what the State of Louisiana is based on) what is allowed is stated. I will be more than happy to provide you with locations of excellent Georgia Middle School Civics classes you may study if you in California need help.” 4:27:55 AM 9/01/10 “Now the spade has a new name, 'Spade', LMAO @Tilt's truth” 6:47:14 AM 9/01/10 “salebored, you have zero credibility calling others bigots. Jew know what I mean?” 7:01:17 AM 9/01/10 “I'm no more anti-semitic than anti any other religion, but then again you come by making those accusations from the religion that seems to have coined the phase. Calling disliking something for what I think are good reasons,is no more bigotry that being called a bigot by one.” 7:50:34 AM 9/01/10 “Calling disliking something for what I think are good reasons,is no more bigotry that being called a bigot by one Fair enough, since it would apply to the ground zero mosque as well.” 8:08:24 AM 9/01/10 “I really don't feel that the federal govt "rules" my life. Sorry you do.” 8:13:48 AM 9/01/10 “ Georgia doesn't claim it. It's from Texas. ” 8:29:08 AM 9/01/10 “I can wish the drug war was over and have lots of good reasons, but the law will not allow that to happen. The mosque means nada to me, cause I'm so biased on the outcome of church influence that even my reasonable thinking on the subject can't over come the drama and subjectivity involved. IlliDrugs and religion have so much in common , but church addicts have the legal high ground on what I consider their snakeoil dealerships.” 10:17:40 AM 9/01/10 “Moonbats dehumanize their enemies, while posting that they want to fry children to death because the grandparents did something they didn't like. Crazy.” 10:21:30 AM 9/01/10 “ Why don't they simply rebrand Fux as "ImbecileTV" and be done with it – ” 11:10:00 AM 9/01/10 “Point made. *snicker*” 11:12:57 AM 9/01/10 “I guess people are getting fed up with the horsesheeyat they shovel... http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2011/01/trust-fox-news-plummets-poll/” 10:40:44 AM 1/20/11 “Public Policy Polling (PPP) is an American Democratic Party-affiliated polling firm based in Raleigh, North Carolina.[1][2][3] PPP was founded in 2001 by businessman and Democratic pollster Dean Debnam, the firm's current president and chief executive officer. LMAO!!!” 10:43:06 AM 1/20/11 Jump to Page << prev
