And really, this trip was excellent. The fall colors were gorgeous and the temps were perfect. I loved the contrast of Lake Superior before and after the rain. The cliffs were inspiring, and the beaches were #&%!$ing cool!!! :-)

It was great meeting Sleepy, Papabull, Laqtis, Gojo, and Cow Patty (btw CP, I STILL haven't been able to find out how long it takes to drown a tree!!) Hopefully I'll be able to bpack w/ you guys again!!!”

“ALTRAN sent me my check yesterday. It was a mangeld mess and was mailed to them in one of those courtesy envelopes that the PO uses when the mail gets ripped to shreds.

I mailed it outta here on Oct 2. My local PO didn't stamp in until Oct 23. ALTRAN just rec'vd it last week. Very bizarre!!

Anyway - that's all settled now. No more MIA check! Phew”

Tho, I gotta tell ya, my November pic on my work calendar is of Grand Portal Point, the section we missed because of the late start, and it's a mighty fine view! Guess it just gives the TN folks a reason to come back.”
