I thought it would be interesting for him to see the bees that produced the honey he's eaten for breakfast. If so, thanks.”

Pics will have to wait a bit. My hives are kept up at my Dad's place. Too many sueing nutcases in town for me to keep them in my backyard. Someone a mile away from me might get stung and decide the bee came from my hive.”

“My hives are upland at my parents place.
Most came thru OK with just the top covers blown off.
I'm down to just a couple hives. The mites hit them hard this late summer. I'll start up a couple of new hives next Spring during Swarming.
Honey production was down a bit this year. The forrest lands around my parents place had the pines harvested and most of the gallberry plants were uprooted by the machinery.
Gallberry makes a very good light, very tasty honey.”

Kinda funny Ewker brought this subject up. Just last night I was washing some jars of honey that had been under flood water in my house from the hurricane. The lids and rings are a bit rusted but still sealed.

No way am I throwing good honey away!”
