“ Mt Whitney and Keeler Needle Dayhike Met up with Calhiker. Got a permit on Saturday to dayhike Whitney on Sunday. Made it to Whitney (14,496') and bagged Keeler Needle (14,240') on the way down. I drove home Sunday night, pulling over several times and arrived home at 6:20 am. Calhiker stayed Monday, and rode his bike UP the Horseshoe Meadow Road (4,000' to 9,200'), then rode to Whitney Portal and back (4,000' - 8,360').
