“When I worked for CN Brown, it was pretty much the same way. If the books didn't add up at the end of the shift, the manager would get everyone who worked that shift and get us in the garage. If the money didn't show up, we were all "sent home" as it were.... Hey, for whatever it's worth, "the thing" just took a signifigant step in the right direction. There's still a ways to go, but I'll learn a lot the day before the trip.”

“We gotta grab our gear also. Is Trout Brook the night we won't be there???? We'd love to make it there for that, but there is the issue of time off.....”

“Trout Brook for us is the night you'll be at Matagamon. You'll get to see what you missed as you cruise by the place - can check it out if no one's there, which I doubt there will be. It's the summer crew cabin so it's in the ranger station, the door to the right. There are mattresses on at least 4 of the bunks, but our water source is a half mile away, unless we melt snow.”

“Walks down to the water source will give us a nice excuse to get some extra hiking in. No worries for me.”

“It's treacherous too, so that will be an additional adventure, LOL! :)”
