Lowe Netherworld 90
Has anyone out there had any experience with this backpack? I've got a chance to get one at about 40% off. I'm in need of a decent internal frame pack and this look interesting. Its not the most technically advanced pack, but its comfortable when loaded with 45 lbs of stuff for 3-4 day trips. I'm wondering about its durability; Lowe made good stuff in the past, but I've not heard much about them lately, and this particular pack has no write ups on the "Gear" listings.

Sass has a netherworld for women, I will mention this thread to her...

Hey Top Dawg, I have a Netherworld 70, but it's the old model. The new model isn't much different, just a few more nice options and a bit more up to date style, (Tarabull got the new model).

I found it to be a great workhorse of a pack. Very comfortable. I got mine on super duper sale too and never regretted buying it. I used it exclusively for 5 years. I think it wore very well. I do think the shoulder straps compressed a bit (or maybe my shoulders got bigger?) but the fabric held up great and it was still pretty comfortable.

I chose to replace it because I was interested in getting my pack weight down. The first place I started was the pack itself, but I still have the Lowe and will keep it, just in case...

I bought a Netherworld 70, too, but returned it because on second thought it was too heavy (Like, about 6 pounds); I figured that I really only want to buy the pack that I'll ultimately want to keep, and any $$$ I spent on the Lowe Alpine pack would ultimately be wasted money. I agree that it seemed like a tough pack that carried well in the store (I could put sandbags in it), and it came with a hydration bladder and I was looking for one of those, too.

You might want to see if Backpack Geartest.org has done reviews.

Slasherfrs & PJ2:

Thanks for the input. I'd only be using it on 3-4 day trips, and I don't get to go out as much as I used to (work, work, work, and I don't do much adventure travel to foreign mountain ranges anymore). Probably check the Backpackgeartest site & try it on once more before parting with my $$$. Once again, thanks for the input.

Bought the pack and was planning to take it on a day hike this weekend. Problem is the @!$#%? wildfires here in So Cal are filling the air aroud the local hills with lung choking/ view destroying smoke! Guess I'll have to wait for next weekend.
