Fallbrook Trail
Went out in the woods on a short hike. At least it was better then sitting home :-)
Foliage was mostly down. saw a few deer. It was opening day of hunting season. But I was on my own property, so I was safe(r). There is a new beaver dam on the side of the "High Point"
The weird thing is the "hutch" (Beavers house) was built on the side of the pond/hill. Usually they are in the middle/back of the pond. I have a few cool beaver carved walking sticks now. Better then Leki's! Beavers are amazing animals, other the I think they are the main contributor of Gaurdia(sp?). Beavers are definatly natures engineers. I set up my alcohol stove and whipped up a enertia spaghetti dinner (from Binks) total hike was only 6 miles. but weather was mint and it felt great getting out. Very therapeutic :-)

Cool Snafu! I went for a 5 mile day hike on Friday. Didn't do anything fancy like a hot lunch though. the foliage down here in CT is getting close to peak. You need to plan a Adirondack hike sometime!

haha, remember I'm a Noobie, the last thing you want is me planning a hike!
I can plan the he11 out of a snowmobile trip though!
There looks like a few Dak's hikes on trips page.
How far are you from Thompson, CT?
