NY Crew - How About A Get-Together?

“It's me Twinkle Toes - I've decided to shorten the trail name and keep it simple with Twinks.

So, I'm thinking it's been awhile since I saw most of you and that it was time for a little get-together. Also, I've got my big 28th birthday coming up soon - and I know there are a few fellow Scorpios in the area - so what better time to have a "party"?!?!

Here are the two options: either the Saturday of Halloween (Nov. 1st)weekend or the following Saturday (Nov. 8).

What do you think? Will ya come to my party? Huh? Huh? Will ya?

I'm backpacking almost every weekend the rest of the year, but I'll see what I can do when the date gets finalized.

“Ok, Brucie! You have seen the tow pound. Now, you want to take the ferry. Sure, we'll take you on a drag along the shore of the ferry. As of Nov. 1st, we will be out on Satan Island. You can park your car in our driveway and ride with us into your favorite city!!! And this time, I can actually guarantee that the Brucemobile will be safe there.”

I stay at the Marriot courtyard ($54) in Basking Ridge NJ, I then ride the NJ TRANSIT train to Penn Station and then Subway/Cab Hop all all around the TOWN...lol

I go to NYC at least once a year for them D-MN Yankee games.

“Snaf, I work across the street from Grand Central Station. So, I am pretty much due east of Penn station. In ten days, we will be official residents of Staten Island (in Brooklyn presently). I am going to suggest to Twinks (if she would get her butt on line instead of goofing off and doing her job that she gets paid for) a placec up towards her neck of the woods in Manhattan. It an old jazz bar I used to hang out at by Columbia U called the 'West End'. We shall see...”

“Yes, last time I was there, it was set up with a few rooms. In one side room, there is a cover charge for live music and then there is the regular bar area, which is free. It's fairly roomy (if the place doesn't get too packed) and has a basically comfortable atmosphere...”

The 8th is confirmed - I am rounding up other friends outside of the bp'ing world to come - I want a great big friggin' party!

Place will be choosen at a later date - all I know is I have a fancy new dress to wear - so no slummin' places.

Would anyone be interested in having dinner at a Mexican restaurant and then going out dancing or listening to music?

Final details will announced once I think of place....but it will be good!

And..it will be nice to see everyone looking spiffed up instead of the usual trail-haggered look!
