At EMS on friday there is a scouter discount of 20% and since I already rented snow shoes from them before I get 20 beans off. Making the atlas 1025s cost only 196.00 is that a good deal or should I keep looking?

Another hot deal?
I'm thinking of jumping on buying a Gregory Whitney at 199. from campmor. Is this a good deal as well. I checked sierra TP for it and they don't have it.

Is the Whitney one of the packs that Gregory recently lightened by a pound? If so, check which model Campmor is selling - they sell a lot of closeouts.

my pack does weigh a ton.

I bought the 1022's. But am either going to return them or sell them on e-bay. I could probably paun them off for near 200. RIE and EMS is selling them for 249.00. I may even buy a few more pairs of shoes and sell them on e-bay, until I get the pair I want for free

I do need the 1025's. I weigh about 130, and assuming I don't grow any more virticaly, my ideal weight will be 145. in the winter, we tend to pack more than 30lbs. Therefore I need a shoe in the 170-180 range.

Yet another reason why I don't critique spelling, although I am sorely tempted to sometimes. Karma will force you to misspell something.

I have, on occasion offered up the correct spelling of a word for the people on the board for whom English is not their first language.

I'm glad I graduated. The tuition would go up between 4 and 7 percent every year. Community college was nice though. I could pay the whole years tuition from what I made working a summer job and still have cash left over for gear.

Bloody Tea, Tubbs don't suck. I have Tubbs Altitude series snowshoes that I LOVE! :-) I've been using them for 4 years and have never had a problem with them.
