Iraq was unfinished biz that was brought in before 9/11. It was just not determined how it was going to be sold to the country. 9/11 made it an easier sell to the American people. So, it doesn't surprise me that it was part of the post 9/11 rhetoric.


Bacpac, your reference to this info being common knowledge is, at best, transparent. That proof has since been disputed in the international forum and it is part of the reason Bush is paying the price now. The 'intelligence' also told us that those weapons were capable of being deployed in 45 minutes. This is not a scare tactic to you? You are too smart to be THAT oblivious.

Yes, this man lied through his teeth to push this agenda through. And now the administration is trying to raise an additional 35 billion dollars for that country. Meantime, we are in trouble here. Social Security is on it's way to extinction. Like BB said, healthcare is a moajor problem, like a time bomb that will explode soon if it gets more expensive and coverage becomes thinner, as is the trend. Deficits are at an all time high. Education hasn't taken the shot in the arm as promised. Need i go on?

And, a final point. Alaska! Back in March (when we were debating the inevitable war to come) I posted a little editorial stating my humble opinion. I was also extremely against it and felt we were getting into a Vietnam parallel, which has happened. And I probably despise GWB as much as you do. But, you really need a new way of presenting yourself, man. I can at least say that i made my points without the deliberate imflaming of oters that you seem to thrive on. So, clean up your act.
