Alert: Reroute “I was headed to WV is weekend and decided to swing by Zaleski on the way to snag us some maps just in case there were none on trip day. The BB announced a reroute and I don't remember now the letter mentioned, but I got maps for anyone needing to see the changes up front. Also they require everyone to register and carry a tear off permit with them at all times. The permit is asking how many in the group, group leader name, vehicle license #, date of which camp C D or L.And last but not least they say no more than 10 persons per party per campsite. Just thought you'd like to know.” 10:06:26 PM 10/22/03 “Thanks wolfsister.... I'll be there this weekend. If not for your "heads up", I prolly would have been booted!” 10:11:07 PM 10/22/03 “thanks for the update, can you pass the details on?” 10:11:44 PM 10/22/03 “Send me your address my e is on my profile and I'll get maps out. Also I noticed a little camp icon at H but they didn't ask for a commitment on the permit for H? So I have to conclude we can camp there just don't have to declare it?” 10:25:13 PM 10/22/03 “Has the whole map changed to somthing better quality or what?” 11:08:12 PM 10/22/03 “I don't know. I think there pretty good. They have points of intrests 1-19,for example;#2 "The portion of the railroad track in the valley, which can be seen from this overlook, is purported to be haunted by the ghost of Moonville. At the turn of the century, so the story goes, a brakeman was killed near the Moonville tunnle as he waved his lantern to stop the train......Reportedly, he was buried in the Moonville graveyard, and if you come here at night, some say you can see his lantern a glimmerin, and a wavin',still tring to stop that train." Lots of stuff about mining and former towns and a "how well do you know your native hardwood trees with 14 trees numbered at the site and the answers on the map. The map part is adapted from 7.5 minute topo quad USGS. It is quite large.” 11:58:56 PM 10/22/03 “Do you see any creative ways to have all the people going fit into a site for 10 people? Is there an alternative campsite near the first campsite for Saturday night? Can you scan me the map and send it to me? My map is about 15 years old. The book I use for Ohio camping was written in the 80's. So I think my infomation is a little out dated.” 8:01:48 AM 10/23/03 “Is anyone still planning on camping at a site on Friday? I will probably be driving down after 2 do I will be arriving in the dark. How long you think it will take me to get there from Chicago? I drive like Crazy Mike if that helps.” 9:43:18 AM 10/23/03 “The map says A-B 1.5,B-C 0.3,C-D 4.3. That is with camping allowed at C and D. Friday night people can meet at D by also hiking via white shortcut trail F-E-D. F-A 1.1, F-E 2.4 ,D-E 0.3. H and L both have camping but we have to say how many will be at L, meaning they consider it one camp. Looks like the best way to handle this is everyone register as individuals and if we go over the limit we can spread out into H and L and hope for the best. It does say "groups" must be less than 10 per camp.” 1:16:23 PM 10/23/03 “Sounds good. We can hide people 2 people in each tent. CMB and the misses will be.” 1:28:55 PM 10/23/03 “Oh, that would work-they would never think of looking in a tent for campers.LOL” 1:35:06 PM 10/23/03 “I just sent you an e-mail, wolfsisterhood requesting a map if possible.” 1:36:06 PM 10/23/03 “When I get it- you'll get it! Oh, and you can call me wolfsister, I lost my log in code so I had to add the hood.lol” 1:53:23 PM 10/23/03 “OK, sounds good.” 1:54:09 PM 10/23/03 2:08:11 PM 10/23/03 “That is where I sent it, huh?” 2:11:21 PM 10/23/03 “How about now? I sent it from different account.” 2:22:39 PM 10/23/03 “This a problem!!!!! Two groups is the way to go. 8)” 3:57:50 PM 10/23/03 “I will be arriving Friday night Mike, how about you?” 4:05:56 PM 10/23/03 “I have Friday off so me and MSCMB are going to leave around 6 am or so. 8)” 4:08:27 PM 10/23/03 “I should get in after dark.
