It's a shame that the FDNY Memorial will never be realized. Why? The race issue reared it's ugly ugly head.

The vast majority of the firefighters, New Yorkers, and indeed, Americans, wanted the statue built replicating the now-famous photo of the three guys raising the Stars and Stripes above Ground Zero - akin to the Iwo Jima monument based on another photo.

Because in this day and age only a select few groups are morally allowed to make racial slurs with little repercussions. Black are allowed to slam the whites because of a perceived victimized image of the modern day African American. Does anyone NOT like to see the underdog or the oppressed lash out at their oppressors? We LOVE it! The big stick is when this victim image is used at the “victim’s” convenience. They are a strong minority that needs no one until there is something in it for them. I always laugh out loud when Jessie Jackson spends all his time fighting for the equal rights of black. Then an election comes around and he’s out marching in the streets about how the black voters were disenfranchised. This a-hole would still bltch even if every black household had it’s own voting booth in the house. This type of racial propaganda does nothing but weakens the race.

Another good example is the fact that if a German even whispers something Anti-Semitic they are branded a Nazi and arrested. If an Arab says, “Those filthy Jews are descendants of monkeys and I will not stop until they are all dead and floating in the sea!”…it doesn’t even get a blurb. The world Muslim leaders met this passed week and the things that were being said stunned me. It barely even got on the news…and it was a slow news week even.”
