20% off? Buy the house!
I just purchased an EMS fleece vest and a pair of Asolo TPS 520 boots, WooHoo!

I had my Appalachian Trail Club membership card in my hand, but the cashiers were just asking "Are you a member of any kind of outdoor club?". So, don't worry too much if you go in for the discount and don't have any membership cards, they were even asking peeps if they were members of triple AAA!!!

A word on the EMS Summit GTX series backpacking boots. I was all ready to buy the EMS Summit GTX over the Asolo TPS (they both felt real good, but I liked the soles on the Summit better) and then I noticed that the inner lining of the EMS Summit boots was extrememly loose and I could pinch up a bunch of liner no matter where I grabbed. The Asolo liner was not nearly as loose. I had the store manager (very cool dude!) check a couple other pair of Summit's and he said they all had that loose liner, but he also said noone had ever brought a pair of the boots back because of the loose liner.

Loose liner, schminer. I like my s-hit sturdy!

I'm going today to see about a stove and water filter. Will bring my... uh,... Hawk Mountain membership card... yea, that's it.

note to self: flirt like crazy with the salesman since i have no club membership cards

It's very important to be politically correct and to not hurt other's feelings.
