during my life as a single mom, i had my lungs to thank for the occasional wake up calls. seems i would get pneumonia every time i was over-extending and low on cash...

what worked for me--> drop your shoulders....breathe slow and deep....get yourself some pure cranberry juice (the six dollar a quart kind (you dilute it with water, so it lasts a long time), squirt a little o.j. or lemon juice in it ...maybe even a splash of vodka if newergirl is asleep..heh....take a lot of hot baths ....read some Fiction......rejuvinate...literally
seek your inner peace a day at a time...all else will fall into place.....you kick all forms of a$$ girl!

Right now, I'm doing this really cool thing . . . I'm part of a prayer team. We pray together, very deeply for about an hr. every other wk. The other cool thing I'm doing . . . taking a Sun. am class about finding "Christ-esteem." My worth based on God's unconditional love, not my VERY conditional standards (SELF-esteem is shaky ground, but w/ God no such thing). Soooo, I am trying to get there. That is something you should realize Mutt. God didn't make humans to be worship-robots. After all, if you had the power to create someone to love you, it wouldn't be worth much. You would know that you MADE them love you. God made us w/ a free will to chose Him or not. If I'm shaky about choosing Him or His ways . . . guess what??? . . . He wants me to come talk to Him about it.

“Wow...Newgirl....flashback. I really do know how you feel. I have been there and have had to do the same. I do have to say having a 4.0 with all that going on, is quite impressive. Believe me it will get better. Taking the time off for yourself will be good for you, sometimes you just need to get re-energized.

As I said before I was pretty much in the same situation raising my daughter on my own, going to school, and working full-time/part time, whatever it took to finish my degree. It all paid off, for sure. I was a long haul, just gotta stick to it. So what if it takes awhile to get there, when you do, you'll be amazed and look back and say, I really did it and it was worth it. I now have a very good job, building a home soon, married(very happily), and daughter grew up with loving people all around her and she finished high school with out getting into trouble or pregant and is herself happily married.

So what I'm saying is that you do need to take time for yourself or you will get burned out. Good luck, get re-engergized, and keep up the good work! You can do it! :)

Newergirl's grandma called and asked if she could keep her until Sat. So, she is going to stay a total of a wk and a 1/2 w/ grandma and I got to go to Vegas and now I get to lay around the house and watch the TV shows I like (I caught that "elegant universe" thing on PBS). I miss her though.
