“I have never been there so i'm looking for good information on backpacking there. like what trails to hike, where to camp. any links to trip reports would be great. Thanks” 12:59:41 PM 11/06/03 “ITS A troll!” 1:00:08 PM 11/06/03 glacier national park “ive hiked there alot. it is awesome. get the book by eric molvar. also get the map. lots of choices but you have to plan and get permits early. july and aug gives you best options. earlier its still snowy and many camp sites are unavailable. go to glacier web cite and get their backcountry guide when 2004 comes out. can be hard hiking. dont plan too many miles per day.” 3:10:40 PM 11/06/03 glacier national park “ive hiked there alot. it is awesome. get the book by eric molvar. also get the map. lots of choices but you have to plan and get permits early. july and aug gives you best options. earlier its still snowy and many camp sites are unavailable. go to glacier web cite and get their backcountry guide when 2004 comes out. can be hard hiking. dont plan too many miles per day.” 3:10:42 PM 11/06/03 Glacier isnt that WA state? “I am going to move North of Seattle in a few years and have a new house built there. I heard there is some beautiful hiking territory up there?” 3:19:52 PM 11/06/03 “Nope, Montana.” 3:22:15 PM 11/06/03 “Glacier Peak is in Washington, Glacier National Park is in Montana and Glacier Provincial Park is in British Columbia (I think).” 4:25:45 PM 11/06/03 “Whatever you do go to Pole Bridge next to Glacier. It's a small town of twenty with the best baker in the world! You hike out of Glacier to fresh pastry's” 4:53:33 PM 11/06/03 Heard Montana is beautiful “I'd love to go sometime!” 5:26:50 PM 11/06/03 “Hike/scramble to the summit of Bearhat Mountain. It's easier than it will appear. Even easier is Goat Mountain.” 9:17:41 PM 11/06/03 Glacier is great... “I spent a week there in July. I spent 3 days backpacking in the Belly River area and dayhiked the rest of the time. It was awesome. The best place I have ever hiked. Here is a link for my trip pictures. There are 5 sets starting about halfway down the page: http://community.webshots.com/user/holy_cow1” 1:57:53 AM 11/07/03 “Wow those are some nice pictures. i think about 3-4 days for a backpacking trip would be as long a trip as i could squeeze in. so many options so little time” 12:45:05 PM 11/07/03 “Who the heck ARE all these people??!” 1:08:03 PM 11/07/03 “hmmm, interesting. It would appear as if we have penetrated into the TT alternate universe. Must have something to do with the lunar eclipse.” 1:45:19 PM 11/07/03 “yes, how dare they answer a question and talk about backpacking! don't they know this is a social club? [/sarcasm]” 1:49:14 PM 11/07/03 “sarcasm in fun or mean-spirited sarcasm, tarbubble?” 1:54:50 PM 11/07/03 “it's always in fun. i don't have a mean bone in my body.” 1:57:37 PM 11/07/03
