Glacier National park

“I have never been there so i'm looking for good information on backpacking there. like what trails to hike, where to camp. any links to trip reports would be great. Thanks”

“ive hiked there alot. it is awesome. get the book by eric molvar. also get the map. lots of choices but you have to plan and get permits early. july and aug gives you best options. earlier its still snowy and many camp sites are unavailable. go to glacier web cite and get their backcountry guide when 2004 comes out. can be hard hiking. dont plan too many miles per day.”

“I am going to move North of Seattle in a few years and have a new house built there. I heard there is some beautiful hiking territory up there?”

“Nope, Montana.”

“Glacier Peak is in Washington, Glacier National Park is in Montana and Glacier Provincial Park is in British Columbia (I think).”

“Hike/scramble to the summit of Bearhat Mountain. It's easier than it will appear. Even easier is Goat Mountain.”

“I spent a week there in July. I spent 3 days backpacking in the Belly River area and dayhiked the rest of the time. It was awesome. The best place I have ever hiked.
