Yes, that would be Ms. Harvey. Me thinks it was one of the last Lalapolooza (how ever you spell it) tour.

I assumed that's who you're talking about?

My first concert was in 1970 and I have not been to 1000 shows.

I gotta get in on this action.

1. Leon Russell, '73, Fort Worth
2. Santana, '88?, Warfield Theatre, SF. Europa brought tears to my eyes.
3. Jefferson Airplane, '70, Henry Levitt Arena, Wichita. Grace was very pregnant.
4. Yes, '00, Sandstone Amphitheatre, KC. These old dudes sounded great and were in excellent physical condition. Squires was jumping up and down all night long. Kansas opened for them and I thought there was no way they could be topped that night. There was a way.
5. Sting. '99, Sandstone Amphitheatre, KC.

I agree that there are too many to decide on a top five or ten.

California Jam in the 1980's - headlining act was Emerson LAke & Palmer during their heyday (huge, mind boggling stage show)

The Tubes at Crawford Hall,UC IRvine 1978 - the ultimate BLOW U AWAY stage show!

Elvis Costello & The Attractions at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium 1978 - he played 45 minutes then walked off due to a bad sound system - a riot broke out.

Midnight Oil & The Hoodoo Gurus at Irvine Meadows Ampitheater 1990 - G'Day indeed mate!

Queen at the Forum,Ingelwood,CA.- the CROWD was more bizzare than the band!

Other Great stuff:

BB King at the Golden bear (Huntington Beach, CA.)
George Thorogood at the Sweetwater (Redondo Beach, CA)
The Plimsouls & the Blasters at the Whiskey-a-go-go (Hollywood, CA)

. . .so much good stuff I gotta force myself to stop!

Pete, that's cool. I would like to talk to you about some software. I think I will see you in a few weeks in the Daks, right?

Bacpac, those shows were all real. Music was always my passion. I started collecting when I was seven. Then got into radio and DJing as my bread and butter. So, I spent a lot of time on the concert scene. Then they became so expensive, the shows I had to pay for became fewer and further between...
