On the morning of September 22, James Miller left his Turnagain home and later, apparently, disappeared down the Resurrection Pass trail near Hope. Friends and family have not heard from him since. Some fear the worst, that the 39-year-old Tok native may have come to a bad end. If so, it would prematurely cap a strange life.

Miller had been an avid outdoorsman, a computer technician, a small business owner and an extreme sports enthusiast who enjoyed power paragliding, but he is perhaps best known as the Fan Man, who flew into and disrupted professional sporting events such as a 1993 boxing match between Riddick Bowe and Evander Holyfield in Las Vegas.
