“Actually, I was very surprised to find a turkey on the table on Thanksgiving. My Step-mom-in-law invited a guest who's a "finicky eater" so my father-in-law had to postpone the goat until the day after thanksgiving, (when all normal people eat thanksgiving leftovers).

So, we ate goat Friday and Saturday. Friday it was tough as cheap steak but had a pretty good flavor,(it was marinated). It is a bit stringy though. Saturday it was better, more tender. I'd eat it again if I were hungry enough. ;)”

“Goat is best when marinated for a long time. Long, slow braising (aka stewing)makes it really tender too.”
