How did you find TT?

“I was getting back into the hiking/backpacking loop a few years back and was doing internet searches for reviews on gear and trails, which led me to the main site. Found TT as I explored the site, lurked for a few weeks, then posted. Got a helpful response from Sgt. Rock and called on the carpet by gojo.

First backpacked in 1964 in BSA. Got a BSA Haversack (canvas rucksack with unpadded canvas shoulder straps) and a sleeping bag for my 12th birthday. That Haversack was my bookbag in college and is now down in the basement with my hunting duds these nearly 40 years later.

I then began my profiling of the personages on TT. and realized that like me, everyone was Psycho-tele-pathetic and loved the outdoors in all its forms. So, it took me here and after lurking for a couple months, I made my first post in Feb of 2001 (I think) regarding the Red River Gorge. Met my first TTers in July of 2001 and did my first TT weekend backpack trip in Sept of the same year.”

I hiked for about two hours yesterday in Almaden Quicksilver park, it was beautiful, about 70 and clear.
