“I got back from Humphreys Basin today - snow has melted off fast this year. Snow wasn't a problem going over Piute Pass or anywhere in Humphrey's Basin. We got a great view of the area from the top of Pilot Knob. I hope I get to meet up with everyone on the 15th in Darwin Canyon.”

The Piute Pass Trailhead starts at the same place as the Lamark Lakes/Col Trailhead.”

I'm back from Alaska and now I'm primed to have some fun. This was like my fifth time up there and I can honestly say ALASKA DOESN'T EVEN COME CLOSE TO SIERRA SCENERY!!! I've been thinking of this hike the whole time I was up there. I guess I'm not a luxury cruise person as hated to be catered to and couldn't wait to get ashore. One very cool thing is I met the only single female on the ship and we hit it off. I'll see how it goes as she is quite different from what I usually "go" for. I'm talking tatoos, firefighter, and curses like frickin sailor. She does have boat and dogs though. Ahh, true love! HA. Oh, not to mention a 14 year old kid that can kick my arse!
