im looking for 0 degree bag. anyone know of any sales? i can use a reg or long and prefer a wider cut. since i'll probably only use it a handful of times a year i don't mind if it's a little on the heavy side, or if it's not the best quality out there.
i would like to find a western mountaineering bag on clearance, though.(yeah, right)

ductape - I wish I would have known this a month ago. WM bags were 50% off at a closing sale at one of the local gear joints!

Currently, I know of some SD 0/20 degree 800 fill down bags at Sierra Trading Post.

If you put the code - "WRE115" and you get an additional 20% off (don't thank me, thank AmyG). For the versatility, weight, bulk, and quality, it's the best deal out there that I know of. Good luck bro!

If you order a WM bag from Hermits Hut in Redding, you will get free shipping, free overfill and if you ask nice I believe Bob said he would through in a free pillow.

Tell em Steve sent ya.

If Western finds out that a place is selling there stuff below retail they pull the account. I just talked to Bob at the Hut yesterday to see what his best deals were on them. He skirts that issue with the free overfill, shipping and now the pillow.

Gotta love the special code!
I just bought trekking poles, 2 pair long undies, and Teva Sport Clogs and used AmyG's key code for the add'l 20% savings, total price $110!!!

The key code is a real good deal. I also tried the key code from my catalog and only got 10% off, so use the WRE115 for the 20% enchilada.

Thanks AmyG, and gracias BB for bringing that up!

I'm cheap...
I feel so used

>;D

Ductape - I doubt you'll find a better deal than at Sierra Trading Post and you'll never find a better sleeping bag than Western Mountaineering...but (unfortunately) you'll reeeally never find WM at STP. (and if you do, you better tell me, cuz I'm buying 10 more of their bags...I love those bags!)

Gear junkies unite!
>:D

PS> I have to put in a good word for Moosejaw here also. That is one crazy company, but customer service is great and the "love the madness" theme seems to work for them. Sign up for their web newsletter to receive specials.

There is some sort of screen that asks you to enter your code or something like that. It doesn't sat coupon code.

I can't get the code to give me a discount, but now it's 20% less than it was this morning anyway.

twiggy,

You enter the code at the prompt for the keycode, not the gift certificate prompt. But, it sounds like you figured it out anyways.

Lizs...no, the coupon code isn't good forever, but usually they send me a new before the old one expires. As fer what I'm doing to get the good deals...well, nunya bidness.
