Been to the Movies Lately?

“I saw "Master and Commander" today. GREAT movie, dare I even say it was perfect. Awesome storyline, great characters, suspensful, action scenes are top notch... this movie seriously was one of the best I have ever seen. There's even a cool side story with a character who is fascinated with wildlife, which ties into the movie very smoothly. Don't want to give anything away, but if you were teetering on whether to see it or not... SEE IT. :-)”

“Took Cameron to see Elf on Saturday. It was pretty good overall. There was one hilarious scene that I'm sure the kids wouldn't get at all - definitely put in there for the grownups. Will Ferrell (Buddy the Elf) is running through Central Park and a news camera catches him briefly. But the way he runs over to and behind some trees and the slight shaking of the camera is made to look exactly like that old footage of Bigfoot running through a forest. Very well done, I must say!”

“I've seen the third Matrix twice....to be honest I was dissapointed but there is an amazing fight scene between Neo and Agent Smith that is probably the greatest fight in all three of the Matrix movies. I also saw Master and Commander and i have to agree with you Artex. It was a very well put together movie. I believe the guy who was so interested in nature was Charles Darwin. I am pretty sure thats who the director tried to portray in that character”

Talked to a friend of mine last night who is in the movie industry. He went to a private screening Mel Gibson's, The Passion. 18 people at each screening. He sat next to Ann Coulter (for you Ann Coulter fans). He got to talk to Mel Gibson for quite a while. My friend highly recommends the movie, but cautions it is extremely true to scripture with the scourging and everything...very violent, hence the R rating. It premiers around Lent (which figures).”

After the celebrity fascination wears off, I think its gonna get pretty ugly for Arnold and the rest of us in California. Hope I'm wrong!”

True, the humans in the pods were given a choice of whether they wanted to leave the Matrix, but whether they left it or not, they didn't REALLY leave the Matrix. Far out.

Tonight I was listening to Michael Savage on the way home from work and he claimed that "Master and Commander" should have been retitled "NAMBLA Goes to Sea". I can't stand that guy, but I thought that was pretty funny. Sorry about that.

“I saw that Bill Murray movie a couple of weeks ago. Lost in translation, ALmost a 4 out of 5. Humor was good and clean, it did have some 'sappy' extra long footage with no dialog.”

I saw "Master and Commander" Monday afternoon. Great movie. If you're a history or maritime buff, go see it.”
