i don't give a crap if gays want to marry or not. in fact, i think they should proll be able to. what do i care. i do however have a problem with them being able to adopt kids. it's a lifestyle choice. i have an uncle, who i am very fond of, that has been in a relationship for 30 years and would trust him with my kids, even to raise them. but i have also met many MILITANT gays that i wouldn't let my kids go anywhere near.

The Defense of Marriage Act is a bill designed to establish the legal definition of marriage as a "union between one man and one woman." This definition would be binding on all agencies and programs of the federal government.

The Defense of Marriage Act was introduced by Reps. Bob Barr (R-GA) and Steve Largent (F-OK), and passed the House of Representatives by an overwhelming vote of 342 to 67 on July 12.

On September 10, the United States Senate passed the Defense of Marriage Act by a landslide vote of 85 to 14.”
