“Well for me I have about 600 miles this year on foot while backpacking and people like Snow Nymph I am shure are over 1000 miles and have bagged lots of mountains which I do not have the time to do but that how I look at it miles and amount of time out in the wilderness.

I don't know I think that I have done ok again this year.

3+ years that I have been over 500+ miles and over 50 bag nights and if I must say any night while backpacking in the woods is pimp in my book.

I think that last one is from that mofuggin' pyro W.T. Sherman. It's a good thing he's already dead or I'd have to ride up there and set HIS ass on fire. Heck, I might do it anyway, one of these days.

But I can claim 64,124' elevation gain and loss in that mileage(does not incl el gain/loss for Yoho or Sierrapalooza)
Only got 45 days of backpacking in this year (62 in '02 and 70 in '01)
I put 28,000 miles on my truck so far this year ('99 4Runner has 136K+mi)and SnowDude drove his truck on some trips
I can claim 52 consecutive weekends out of town this week (my record was 50 weekends, and there are no plans to stay home anytime soon). The last weekend I stayed home was when 11/23/02, the weekend after my head slammed the ice snowboarding.

I can claim 69 miles of dayhiking trips with 19,300' el gain and loss for dayhiking (6 day trips this year)

New peaks climbed in 2003:
4 14ers
7 13ers
2 12,900+
2 11,000+
3 new desert peaks (4 if Manly Beacon counts)
2 peaks in Canada
and a 13K Bergschrund (not a peak, but pretty impressive!)”
