Backpacking tips in the Bible

“I mean this to be fun, not offensive. The point is that there are a lot of practical considerations in the Bible. Who knows, maybe when a TT'er in a church or temple group goes backpacking with people studying the Bible, they might even find this useful. For example, I was double checking a passage in Deuteronomy I noticed this passage (which I had not remembered from earlier readings):

Deuteronomy 23: 12 - 13

"Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad. And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee."”

I do like the passages (found only in the KJV) which refer to the despicable practice of "pissing against the wall" . The Ancient Hebrew is indeed "urinate" but most modern translations render the verse as "men".”
