1:13:37 PM 11/21/03 “Nope. Sounds interesting though. I'd hesitate only because ebay seems more secure and structured. Less chance of getting burnt.” 1:16:23 PM 11/21/03 “I just posted a thread about the Salomon SM Lite boots I bought Dare from NEice. The service was great - no complaints. Not used stuff though.” 1:28:33 PM 11/21/03 “I bought Dare from NEice Oh great. aimee gee BOUGHT herself a husband.” 1:34:32 PM 11/21/03 “AmyG I am so glad that Dare came new, and wasn't used stuff.” 1:35:46 PM 11/21/03 “Has his warranty run out yet? Maybe you can still send him back for a new Dare?” 1:55:32 PM 11/21/03 “I notice the used gear link while checking out AmyG's post. Just wondering how the consignment part of the site works and if anyone has experience there.” 2:24:43 PM 11/21/03 “Oh great, she still considers me gear.” 6:34:14 PM 11/21/03 “As long as she doesn't file you under the "tool" section, I'd take it as a compliment!” 6:39:42 PM 11/21/03 “I would no sooner buy used climbing gear than a used rubber. But that's just me.” 6:41:34 PM 11/21/03 “Good point Buck!” 6:42:47 PM 11/21/03 “just buy new stuff garfum, you ole tightwad, you” 12:52:07 AM 11/24/03 “What's the big deal Buck? - ya turn um inside out and shake the phuck outa um. Dewd - I'm not a tightwad - just thrifty - dont forget my Scotish heritage.” 9:49:56 AM 11/24/03 garfum “How many kids do you have?” 9:51:47 AM 11/24/03 “BB - Two kids. 14 yr old boy & 6 yr old boy. The 14 yr old is who gets most of the good gear(instead of me).” 9:56:46 AM 11/24/03 “Hey Garfum, I think Budda Bears question was more on the line of...who do they look like ??” 1:22:03 PM 11/24/03 “I don't mind buying used backpacking gear, but when it comes to climbing gear, I want to know the history of the gear since my life (and the life of my buddies) will be dependent upon it. Ropes, beeners, toilet paper, etc., I would never buy used.” 1:25:51 PM 11/24/03 “If you look at the site you'll see most of the gear(but not all)is not climbing gear(ropes/beeners/harnesses), but mountaineering clothing type stuff(parkas/gloves/boots). I didnt look far enough to check for rubbers or toilet paper - but if thats yer bag there's always e-bay like Buddha Bear points out. Thanks for pointing that out for me Manuka - rubbers were not involved in the conception of any of my kids. I take it that no one here has experience with the used gear site in question.” 2:56:54 PM 11/24/03
