Happy Thanksgiving!

I wasn't going to cook but I got talked into it. Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, cranberries, rolls.

I think I am going to die. It was great.

Oh lord I ate way too much, but dang was it all good! My pumpkin pie turned out weird though. It refused to cook, and it came out with a texture like a very light, smooth mousse. I really liked it.

We had a lovely day today. Weather in MI was wonderful for this time of year! Sky full of sun, and temps in the 50's.

My sis-in-law never makes a turkey big enough for many leftovers. I'm going to go buy a turkey breast tomorrow so we've got something to eat with all the leftover stuffing I've got. (I make the stuffing, and even with cutting the recipe, I've got PLENTY leftover!)

G is feeling fat and bloated, I'm just slightly over full this evening. I did good. :)

Funny, I'm thinking about picking up a turkey breast tomorrow, too. They'll be on sale. :)

I love turkey sandwiches, and shepherd's pie made with turkey or ham leftovers can't be beat.

I've gotta share our Thanksgiving feast story with you guys...as some of you know I'm still having trouble eating after my jaw surgery and pneumonia as made me listless...that and Bill being on a diet made us decide to forgo a big Thanksgiving feast. However, Bill came home after hunting with 2 Banquet Turkey Dinners saying you can't have Thanksgiving without turkey...so, I set the table and we had one of the most enjoyable and unforgetable Thanksgiving dinners we can remember...here's a picture of our spread...by the way, clean up was a breeze! LOL

I saw a flock of 10 wild turkies crossing the road yesterday. They looked very nervous.
